Hey all
So it's my birthday in a month, a big one, and I have decided I am having a fairy party :)

What are some good theme parties and dress ups that you have all been to?

My wild and wooly bud Wal was invited to a "P Party". You had to come dressed as something starting with "P". He bought a heap of green balloons, blew them up and stuck them all over himself and went as a Pea. Classic!

I had a Rocky Horror Picture show/Horror party last year.

the house was done up with blood splattered walls and lightshades. My friend had made a full sized cardboard coffin. We had spiderwebs and toys spiders and bugs everywhere, bats flying from lampshades etc also had some very realistic looking maggots sprinkled on light switches etc.
We had theme food in finger shaped bread sticks, bloody dips and green ones as well. and lots of other stuff as well.

I know we had people laughing and taking photos before they even got inside.

Oh and the warning was if you didnt come in costume that you had to strip down to your underwear.. as half the rocky horror cast is only in underwear most of the time!

yep everyone made the effort, and all had a ball.

Only thing was we couldnt get a man brave enough to come as frankenfurter. They all tried to use the excuse they didnt have the clothing to fit.....

hahaha you should have seen them back peddle when I said you can have a lend of the bustier and fishnets I used to wear when I was heavier.... but no one took me up on the offer!head banger

A family member recently had her forty birthday party, come dress up as some one from the place of the front of your postcard you recieved.

There was Marylin, Bond and an australian from the outback and many more...

Hence why I have a pic of me dressed as minnie mouse on my profile...you guessed it we got disneyland.... laugh

I went to an accident and emergency ward party years ago.. easy for people to throw a bandage and fake blood on laugh but there was some awesome costumes..

a male friend of mine decided he would come dressed as a female nurse.. had the whole outfit on.. white uniform.. white hat and sensible shoes and white fishnet stockings

driving to the party he got pulled over by the cops ... they saw him as they were driving past him and decided to pull him over and make him get out the car rolling on the floor laughing

apparently the cops thought it was HILARIOUS .. my friend didnt think it so funny laugh laugh laugh

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing I have a friend who dressed a little like this to the recent priscilla party I went too.. He passed out in the middle of the floor... funny kodak moment. Check my FB pics for it wink

Some themes I have been to are:

Bogan
Initial parties, T, R and P I think they were lol
Priscilla Queen of the Desert
Celebrities
A certain colour
Super Hero

I can't really think of others. By far the one with the best costumes was the Priscilla one.

Good luck with your party. It's quite an unusual theme for anyone over 10 laugh but that is what will make it fun and unique.
