Heartbreaking news about my lil dog Prince (179)
Sorry to hear this Ccincy, I know how much it hurts, I'll be hopeing for the best for the little guy.

Ccincy: Had to take Prince to the vet early tonight cause he's been having dizzy spells.It seems he has a bad heart murmmer.The vet told me that Prince's heart rate was very fast.They also did a blood test on him as well and I should hear the results sometime in the morning.Oh man this whole thing is just heartbreaking.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's just a temporary thing and he'll be back to normal in no time!!!

With a heart murmmer sometimes they have to have surgery to repair the valve.Sometimes the dog can also have what we humans have is a heart failure and the dog dies.
The vet told me that depending on how his blood test comes out he'll most likely have to take meds.
I don't have much but I'd sell everything I own if I had to to get him the proper medical care he needs.He's my buddy and my life.
The vet was nice enough to only charge me the office visit.

I know Ginger.While holding Prince in my arms tonight when we got home he snuggled up to me and looked up at me with those sad lil brown eyes as if he was telling me Mommy thank you for trying to make me better.

Sorry to hear your little friend is unwell. I use to look after a dog with heart problems..the medication worked really well on him. He eventually died of old age and not from his heart problems.

Prince is 16 yrs old.The vet did tell me he may have to be on meds and a special diet.

My daughter has a little dog that we love like a baby, and she goes crazy when I go to visit-she thinks I came to visit her, I always take a little food for her, and she rummages in my handbag (purse) until she finds it, and sits on my knee all the time I am there.

My little friend that l used to look after was an old dog when diagnosed too. His owner was told he wouldnt live past xmas. I was still looking after him two years after the vet had told her that. So dont give up hope the vet may have one idea but Prince may have other idea intirely.
