Am i that bad, ugly or what, cus there must be something wrong. I am confused, becus i expect a reply even if it's "sorry can't be friends" or "don't want to chat with you find someone else" or "i don't like you" . Atleast a word like No is far better than silence.

I was just trying to find some old threads but couldn't but I know this question gets asked a lot and you might as well ask how long is a piece of string ....

I was on playful mood the other day and mailed a guy who had viewed my profile.
I probably scared the bejaysus out of him, at least I scared him to total silence.

Don't know what you are saying in your mails, if it's just a 'hi, how are you' kind of mail. If you make it more personal, have a look at their profile, maybe comment on something in it, might get some responses?

wittys full of the good advice today, perhaps you could explain to us poor women who often get no replies to messages we send and it can be very off putting so believe us when we say we know how your feeling 
Aadheen: Don't know what you are saying in your mails, if it's just a 'hi, how are you' kind of mail. If you make it more personal, have a look at their profile, maybe comment on something in it, might get some responses?
Thanks for that idea, i do read their profile that is why i try to make a contact. But i dont think it has to do with not commenting about what they have in their profile, but i will take that advice cus it sounds like a very good idea to me.. Thanks Aadheen..
I never really figured out any 'logic' or rules on these sites... Sometimes you get a reply, most of the time you don't. I have to say, when I do get replies it is very often women who are foreigners in this country too. But not always.
I don't really think it makes much of a difference what exactly you write (of course it should be more than 'how r ya?' and it should invite the other person to reply - i.e. ask open ended questions).
Apart from that I think it is just like in the real world - women get approached far more often than men. Oh and by the way: Irish women were recently voted as the most picky in Europe

Well that i don't know, but if i am seeing someone i would be straight with it by telling who ever write's me. Or better still change my profile info or take it off..

No problem. I don't answer some mails, if someone just says 'hi' or makes no effort at all. Way I look at it, if going to mail me, let me know why mailed me, give me something to reply to. Not going through mailing over and back with one liner sentences. That's just me. If someone makes some sort of effort, even if not interested, will say thanks but no thanks although in saying that, still can get hassled afterwards, because said no! Sometimes nearly easier not to reply than to go through all of that.
