I do live in the real world. I go to work everyday and enjoy dating and meeting some nice men. I have also made some female friends through online chat sites...never intended or imagined I'd make platonic friends. That has been a wonderful surprise through my "online life". We get together every now and then, share a drink, laughs, dating stories, or friend farther away that I communicate with via phone, Facebook, Skype. I now realize how silly I was for allowing shyness to control my life for so many years. Before 2 years ago, I was too shy and insecure to visit a dating site, or chatroom, or meet a stranger for a drink, or even...heaven help us...chat in a forum! I joined this site because of the "International Flavor" found here.I lived an "international life" for many years, and was missing that part of my life.

I am going to the Glasgow meet up in April - flight booked and paid for .....
Plan to meet some of the peeps I read in the forums... no love waiting but a chance to enjoy Scotland - see a few men in kilts... yum! and a possibility of making some friends.------ This thread is Archived ------

I have only met one man from the internet ( this site ) in the last 6 years...and at this point it's not looking very promising...but I won't turn away if I should find someone I'd like to meet.

Good for U Sasycats, I too have met two for dinner and neither one was right for me...Very nice guys, nonetheless...It takes courage to move from Virtual into Reality especially when it don't work out but u got to keep trying...
