Elmorya: Been to many places & my biggest gripe is when the country's locals want to take you for a ride & they somehow think all tourists are dumb!
Say that again. The cashiers especially take people for a ride. It happened to me here at home! She thought I was a tourist and dd not have time to calculate. She charged me double the price. I corrected her and she called the supervisor who just cancelled and gave me the right change, no apology or any sign to show this was a mistake! Beware people, calculate!

The Netherlands... we go around by car or bus. Nice traffic and safe! Amsterdam, nice place and amazed with bicycle parking! Keukenhof, 7 million flowers bulb in one park, and went to the flower festival! Madurodam, it’s a miniature city, took many pictures in here cause so amazed with the mini architecture! And I took a picture with traditional costume in Volendam… and many places that I can’t mention one by one because I really forgot the name…most of all was wonderful.. Well, I met a few impolite people there, looks like they don’t like Asia people! Only old people that really friendly to us Hmm, I forgot the name of the place…from Schipol to Leiderdorp when we pass the street, all the way we can smell cow dung…eeewwww, disgusting! well my friend said it's for fertilizer
Belgium…to Antwerp met friends .And people said the diamond center of the world is from Antwerp , and we went to the diamond store, just looking…(the price really expensive!)
Paris…beautiful place and romantic place especially when we went to Eifel Tower at night! we went around Paris by train, nice and safe... but not too clean, because i still could see dirt dog on the way
Then to Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, Notre dame de Paris, eat lunch at Café de Flore, and went to Louis XIV palace of Versailles…so beautiful!
Paris is the fashion city…of course we went to Champ-Elyses…bought a few perfumes. We met a few Turkish and Philipines, we chat a while when we ate dinner, they’re not tourist, but they’re friendly
One thing I could remember was not all of them could speak English!
Wow Darren and Joell and others, so many places you've seen. I'm wondering what kind of a job lets you travel so much, business or fun? I might consider changing careers....or lifestyle. But I'm really inspired by all of you and thanx for sharing.

Only travel for leisure & not in a particularly well paid job. Flights from the UK are really cheap though. Sometimes you can fly abroad from here for £10 ( $15 US ) return. Get lots of time off work as work long shifts

Good for you. You are lucky you have those cheap flights. Here I get opportunity to travel becoz I never got training in my job, self-taught, I can only be trained overseas, it's scarce skill localy. I'm always looking for such opportunities.
