Lastnite while online was just having a bit of craic and banter there with a few members anyway just looking over the comments and i noticed that a few people were giving out about flirting in the forum to be honest i tought this was a dating site where you have the craic and laugh the forums are a great way to get meet to people esp like myself and other newbies who have joined the site it is a lot easier than sending out mail.Im not trying to make enemys here but just want 2 say that we should have respect for eachother again were all here to make friends and have laugh.

You're right of course but never forget you have as much right to be here as anybody else and to use the site as you see fit.

I don't know which threads your talking about but providing you're not flirting during a thread about drowning fluffy kittens or mugging old ladies, I don't see the problem!

i wasnt giving out no harm in flirting and if the other people dont like it well why did they read the thread in the first place

I would be inclined to agree with you.....I'm new to this site..I was on another site for a while, but decided to give it a break. I posted on the boards there a lot, but the difference between here and there was that the comments were monitored. You might post a comment at 7.30 in the evening, but it wouldn't appear on the board until about 7.50 or so. This was just to ensure that people were being respectful of others, nothing derogatory was being posted and peoples feelings were being taken into consideration.

Now I can understand that we're all adults, and some people had an issue with their comments being monitored/policed, but at the end of the day, we all understood the reason behind it.

Guilty as charged!! But I don't think any of us were giving out about flirting on the forums....it's the constant flirting, on almost every thread that is annoying. You said last night that you had just recently rejoined and that you were also disappointed with the forums.

This may be primarily a dating site, but that's not what everyone is here for. Personally, I am not looking for a date, hence no photo, I am here to enjoy the interaction and differing opinions that the forums used to offer. Yes, there will always be flirting, thats all part of the craic, and I enjoy that too, but not to the extent that it has now reached.

Like you, I don't want to make any enemies, I want to make friends and have lively discussions, and I also agree that we should have respect for each other....that cuts both ways.
