Just like to say fair play to the lads from both side of the fence yesterday who took part in a peace march to stop mindless thugs who are trying to destroy the peace process it was great to see both catholics and protestants coming together and marching for peace in Northern Ireland more of these Marches should be held.

They can hold one each day of the week. It's not going to change a thing unless the tackle the problems. And marching didn't do anything in 60's,70's,80's.....Marching today wont change didley squat.

If you are talking about the bombers...Show me where phyiscal force republicanism ever had the voice of the majority...They've always been a minority. And the sound bites that even PSF are making are the same that the politicains used during the troubles and it didn't change a thing.

Why doesn't Marty McG and Gerry go to Hugh Orde and tell him everything they know...

But they are quick of the mark to ask everyone else.

They can show all the solidarity they want. It's not going to change jack. You can agrue all you want. But marching wont make any difference in the end.

What terrorist's are you talking about in Turkey..PKK or someother group. Can the UN-NATO be called terrorist's too for the bombings in Libya. They bomb innocent people and don't say sorry either.

snowlynx: You're right they don't care what anyone thinks of them, the only way to deal with them is to unleash the SAS on them, see how long they last then!

True, a lot of them are too young to even remember the troubles and all the misery it brought.

snowlynx: They could assassinate the terrorists, there's nobody better at doing that than the SAS!

and if the SAS were deployed in NI the dissidents would mad altogether, same thing would happen if the army came back

It would just stengthen their cause by creating more martyrs. We can't risk another Bloody Sunday either. We had 30 years of blockades, guns, watchtowers, kidnappings, bombings and killings and it changed nothing.

I seem to remeber that the peace process was instigated by the Women's Peace Movement followed by the father of one of the victims of the Omagh bomb. Sorry I don't remember his name but he put peace ahead of thoughts of revenge and I found him to be a great example.

Mickey Harte attended the funeral inspite of his own recent grief to show solidaritry too and I would ask any of the bombers or their sympathisers to question his patriotism.

So I think we just keep protesting in thehope that ordinary people can leave their loved ones in the morning with full expectation to return to them at night!

Unfortunately it's very hard to deal with people who demand 'Brits out' and won't settle for anything less and won't listen to the people they claim they represent.

snowlynx: Let them go mad! they have a limited base, not like the Provos, they could be easily wiped out.

read recently that their are up to 40 seperate dissident groups, it wont be easy to wipe them out

'We' didn't becuase 'YOU' weren't there. So stop talking about as if you experienced it.

I'm glad I didn't get taught modern Irish History by the same person who taught you.

Here's something for nothing, Micky's more proud to be Irish than you are being Scottish...WHy won't you become a plastic and change your nationality?
