Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama and GA.....Got hit bad...
Chattanooga Tennessess my former city, has not had a tornado since 1952....Imagine a tornado trapped between those mountains for 15 minutes....It is amazing that more folks were not hurt and killed....
Tractor trailer trucks (18 Wheelers) loaded down, thrown over in the ditch in on the side of the interstate...They still have several exits closed off in North GA, expecting an increase in the death toll.
My city was spared by 20 miles...I have friends in all these states and they really need out thoughts and prayers.

We got lucky in PA a lot of damage. No word of anyone hurt Praise God but as I'm typing this the tv is announceing a toronado warning in the eastern part of the state.
My prayers are going out to my brothers and sister in the hard hit states. Wish I could do more.

We just got a breaking news warning here in New Jersey that there are two funnels coming our way with severe flooding. The wind is whipping up like crazy and I might be heading to my basement.

Thanks guys. I packed up a bag with important papers, cell phone, car keys so I'll be ready. The news break said we should be getting it about 15-20 minutes. I'm worried about my daughter who is a police officer out on the road. I called her and told her to get off the road. I keep thinking it will pass us by. Oh geez....it's getting dark and quite windy. Think I'll go to the basement now.

Last count I got, was 215 dead. Our state was so lucky, as we usually are right in the middle of it. Some to our neighbors south and east. This is just gonna kill the already killed economy, unless these people were insured and can rebuild, then we might get some builders back to work. These poor people, to lose everything.

The first funnel caused a lot of wind and rain but didn't touch the ground here. They are saying a new funnel is heading for New York. There is another funnel that should be here in a hour or so.
Weatherman have a tendency to blow things out of proportion but they kept interrupting tv programs with how close the storm was and that's went I went to the basement.
So I came out of hiding..
for now but will probably have to go back down to the basement when the next one hits.

Yes, unfortunately it is that time of the season....Still no one was prepared for this many yesteday....On Record when I last heard there were 140 documented tornado throughout the 3 states...

Yay for the "tornado chasers". They are the nutcases risking life and limb in the hopes they can help save entire communities by giving more than a couple minutes of prior warning. I'm glad someone else does it, cuz there's no way in Hades I would do it.
