I can understand the frustration of the OP..I don't know what her age is but the truth is that women in their 40's and up do get hit by a lot of scammers and in a lot of their profiles they do say they are widowed their age is usually also in the 40's to early 50's..they often have young children..are self employed or some sort of engineer or programmer..for some reason they seem to live mostly in New York.. those scammers do that to have the women feel pity for them etc...it is a shame and makes it for the real ones very hard.. I am sure that the men get scammers that have a reoccurring profile too..
cherrybrandy: its up to you calling me things and up to me how i will take that,in my opinion you attacked the lady, who started the thread, even if she apologised and explained, what she meant.you didnt stop attacking her, untill she left, that is bullying in my book and i cant just go away.its not a first time as well, you are doing that.and its a last time im talking to you,but i can promise,if i think you are bullying someone again i will report.
I have every confidence that the mods will read the thread anyway at some point, I also have confidence that they will have a less biased view than yourself. You are free to report any and everything you like, it is your right. I re read the whole thread when yabba posted again and I understand fully how the escalation came about when the name calling started.

Yep the only difference between the Op and myself is I had 10 out of 10 scammers instead of 8 out of 10. Although I am not sure I would get involved with a widower anyways as my friend quoted this,"There's a hand full of widowers out there, then you get to live up to their dead sainted wifes memories." Fact is I never thought of it in that way but makes sense now when I think about it.

No, I am single4ever because I am tired to being abused by men.
Ccincy: Another thread bites the dust so to sppeak and another member leaves. How sad.
Yeah, I was driven off the forums a few years ago because of the nasty people here. But given some time off and realizing their opinions were just that; they were never important in the first place. Now I have learned to be just as harsh as they were for me.

i think a lot of us women have.. but one should always give the benefit of doubt..the only bad thing is all the wasted time.. all you can do is report the profile and copy and paste their mail in the report..that usually gets the profile removed fast..

I have not been on the forums too long,so not sure how the reporting works, but will look into it......I am all for having their profiles removed......thanks

SUNSHINEB0Y: maybe so, maybe not, I defo had a bad reaction to being called a scammer and I wasn't the only one. I wonder if you have ever lost the love of your life through death? I also wonder how great your reaction would be if I called you vile for disagreeing with me? and I'm not even going to go into why another Miss isn't with us anymore. guess none of us are perfect huh? I was hoping for something more positive when I saw the thread had been visited again, oh well
Stop trying to make it about somethings it not.....And if you think I am responsible for someone else choosing to leave this site...then think again. You wanna talk about that, then email me and I will set you straight!!!
And YOU weren't called a scammer so stop making it all about you...It was a generalisation, as you well know. We all understand your feelings about losing your partner and feel for you for that, and yes, I have lost people VERY close to me, but am not gunna discuss that with you or at least on this forum.
Lastly, about her saying you were vile, that was her over-reaction to your over-reaction.....

You are not the first one to complain that the only mail you get is from scammers, I'm sorry that no "real" men don't find you attractive enough to contact, I'm not going to venture any suggestion about why this could be, I don't know you and I don't want to, but in a strange way I owe you some thanks, this morning when I opened up I had a string of mail, three negative, four positive, one from a lady within driving distance of me, she initially contacted me saying that she'd noticed "a certain member" (not quote) sniping at me in several threads over a while and was sympathetic, I replied and one thing has led to another, we're talking about a date for saturday This is a strange world huh? I Thank god for eircom, and I pray for good weather.

I feel I should quallify that statement as it could be misleading. I want to make it clear that you are not the primary "sniper" that I mentioned S4E but you were mentioned in the mail, her comment was very funny and was meant to be but I can't post it here because I know you would take it the wrong way. I'd also like to make it clear to EVERYBODY that I don't feel agressive towards ANYBODY but, and just as others have had to post in the past, I will defend myself, when I can be bothered, and am quite capable of it!
