SUNSHINEB0Y: You are not the first one to complain that the only mail you get is from scammers, I'm sorry that no "real" men don't find you attractive enough to contact, I'm not going to venture any suggestion about why this could be, I don't know you and I don't want to, but in a strange way I owe you some thanks, this morning when I opened up I had a string of mail, three negative, four positive, one from a lady within driving distance of me, she initially contacted me saying that she'd noticed "a certain member" (not quote) sniping at me in several threads over a while and was sympathetic, I replied and one thing has led to another, we're talking about a date for saturday

No worries; I just don't worry anymore about the dating scene anyways. It was frustrating at the time and eventhough I specified I no longer want to date; I am still getting the scammers but such is life. I just block and delete now. Most times I don't even bother to check my emails anymore. I sure hope your date works out well and that you find the happiness you deserve.

This thread just goes to show that we all need to treat each person/profile individually and try not to jump to conclusions. Sadly though, there does seem to be common themes that scammers will use to gain our trust. I've found for myself that when I invite them to webcam they will ignore my requests or make up excuses that they are unable to do this. If they have computer access, skype is a free program around the world, so they should be able to access something like this. I guess its also a matter of asking enough questions and paying attention to what they write/say.
For example, one person writing me, states that where he lives he loves to explore the province and lower mainland area ... that describes where I live and when I questioned him he was humming and hawing and trying to get out of it. Where he lives is a state with counties ..... even I know that and I don't live where he does.
