how would a pay cut make a person unemployed? Its only a paycut, the can still keep the job and its emigration
unouwantme2: the truth is with all the benefits some people get off the social welfare there better off then sum jobs
Well i think there also trying to do what England is now doing at the moment just say if your offerd a job at 7.65 hr and you don't take it because the wage is to low then you could loose your benefits i don't know i think this mite be a good idea.
Scrap extra payments on Sundays. Get rid of the numerous pay rates that apply to workers with different levels of experience and skills, and replace them with an 'adult basic rate'.
The proposals suggest existing non-adult pay rates will be replaced by national minimum wage rates for under-18s and those in their first year of work. Extra pay for more skilled and experienced workers to be agreed between employees and employers at individual companies.
Introduce uniform overtime payments. Cut the number of Joint Labour Committees that make Employment Regulation Orders by about half. Allow deals by unions and employers outside legally binding system. Allow companies to avoid paying the legally binding rates by pleading 'Inability to Pay'. Average pay rates in the country's trading partners and other competitiveness issues to be debated before making new orders, or changing existing ones. Each Joint Labour Committee must do a "health check" of existing orders, and revise them if needed under new criteria.
Registered Employment Agreements
All parties may not have to consent to change an agreement. Unions and employers to be checked to see if they are representative, and entitled to make or cancel deals.
unouwantme2: why people get so comfortable is there looking for jobs and getting nowhere. this 4 people gets totally frustrating only so much of that you can do
Good post mate the competition is unreal out there these days to back work.

Yep they and its our own fault mate because we vote them in every year to repersent us.
biggles90000: Oh of it course it was but was the point of pulling the wool over our eyes and trying to make us believe that everthing is going ok when is not.
I've no sympathy for anybody that voted Fine Gael. (I'm not accusing you Biggles! )

I dont think they were trying to pull the wool over anybodies eyes, any reduction in unemployment figures is good news, They made no secret of the fact that unemployment was down due to emigration and seasonal circumstances, any news report I saw always mentioned that at the very end, dropped like a bombshell
