If you are then join the club! I watched qualifying earlier for the canadian grand prix. Considering montreal is supposed to be redbull racings weakest circuit,i didnt see much evidence that being the case yesterday afternoon. No what i saw was vettel grab his seventh pole of the season with time to spare.Again!! Mclaren arrived there saying that we would see something special in quali and what did we see? The mclaren boys only 5th and 7th on the grid for later on! Yet another mistaken stratergy decision by the team principle, martin witmarsh:(or is that witless:) So heres hoping for a better race today. But if vettel and co win yet again everyone can forget about a different world champion for this season.

I see history repeating.....
it's about the same when Schumacher drove for ferrari, isn't it?
I miss the days when Mika Hakkinnen was in it, and Damon Hill. haven't followed F1 lately....I hated Shumacher....

Hi carenza. Yes it was totally dull when shumacher was winning for ferrari:( I think its great now seeing him struggle in a merc though:) I wouldnt mind so much vettel winning constantly if i knew another driver in the same car as him(unlike webber)would keep him honest, say for example lewis hamilton. Mclaren have a great car/driver package but its just there mistakes in stratergy which bugs me.Mr witless lol! Like quali yesterday witmarsh thought setting up the car for a possibly wet race today was the way to go. It wasnt! That mclaren car set properly yesterday could and would of got pole position in the hands of hamilton i believe. Considering he has had pole and won there more than once on the last three ocassions. Oh well, hope for a good race later and for the mclaren
I know I am going to be on my here but I am a big fan of RBR and Webber in particular, however Vettel is on top form at the moment and I cant see ny real challengers until the rule changes come into effect at sillystone. I do have mixed views on if it is good for a championship by having one driver winning all the time. From a championship perspective then it is bad but a small part of me would like to see 1 driver have a whitewash of every race. The racing this year has been better than it has been for years but to get excellent racing/overtaking then remove the wings so cars can get closer.

I would not say Mclaren had the best driver/car package this year at all. The car is not the fastest on the grid so that is hampering the drivers couple this to what appears very hit and miss pit work this year I cant see them winning the championship. As much as I hate to admit it Hamilton is probably the only true race driver out there this year with the exception of Schumi. There are many great drivers this year but those are the 2 that have a history of trying and succeding to pass on a regular basis. I can think of some great passes by most of the current drivers but they dont seem to have the ability to consistantly make passes stick. Petrov is probbly one of the hardest trying drivers at the moment but he is still very raw in talent but give it a few years and he could be champion. If I was to say what the best car on the grid this year was I would have to say the Renaults, in pre season testing in Kubicas hands it was consistently the quickest even beating the RBR cars. We will never know how good that car really is with the current drivers who seem to be struggling with pace this year.

I dont dislike RBR not like i did ferrari with shumacher driving one. And i like webber as a guy,a very honest and i suppose straightforward aussie as id expect. I think he is also an ok driver but something is always mysteriously faulty on his car?if you get what i mean. Silverstone will be good for many reasons, the new stands and extra bit of track etc. You could remind me is it for that race or the one after that redbull and others have to remove the blown diffusers from there cars?

The blown diffusers rule come into effect from the British GP, I suspect that will start that weekend which will help close the gap between some teams.
I got to meet webber several times in his formula ford days and he was back then a very polite driver not to mention a great driver. He does seem to be left very much as a second driver for RB, if he was given equal chances for parts and devolpement I suspect he would be running a lot closer to Vettel, Not due to the parts themselves but the physcological impact it has by being a rel second driver. I doubt he would match Vettels pace in quali but in the race I think he his consistancy would make a bigger diffeerence.
surely, the epoch he marked went away together with him
Senna was a god on the track R.I.P. He was my idol when i was younger. I remember one race, you probably do also, that i saw held in donnington park in i remember 93. Pouring with rain that day, senna sitting 7th on the grid in a mclaren powered by ford or could of been peugout.Btw,within that 1st lap of the race he had overtaken all the cars in front to be 1st. And then went on to win! Truly fantastic to watch. They dont make them like him anymore:))
formula one is boring full stop. they should take away all the buttons on the steering wheel, give the cars three pedals and a gear lever and then you will see just how good they are because then they will have to actually drive the cars and not sit there just pressing buttons. formula one
