Yep and since then rupert murdoch has made a grovelling apology to minnie dowlers parents too. The rebecca brooks saga still puzzles me though. I mean this is the same r.murdoch who on his arrival said 'his being here was to protect miss brooks?' Now he seems quite happy to let her resign her position. And in doing so,look like a jerk! It begs the question why now and not last week? If he really believed he was forever powerful enough for his arrogance on keeping her. Or like ive already thought and concluded she must of had something on him. Now though,with a huge payout from the murdochs no doubt,she is allowed to leave? It doesnt make sense! Not for someone with a supposedly shrewd business acumen it doesnt. But there again,at the age of eighty he might of lost that talent. What next? James murdoch is also made to resign. And there is evidence of phone hacking of 9/11 victims. In which case,he really is in the brown stuff

Hi newlife. An interesting topic you choose. Being an australian you may have views on news international and the way they proceed in there business practices. As i write this rupert murdoch is in midair and on his way here to london.To see what else no doubt he can salvage from a disasterous few days for him and his operation. I think he in particular should be very worryed indeed at how things are and could turn out for news international as an entitity and not just the ongoings at the NOTW. For instance-the cancer that has been that paper only up until now,spreading through other parts of his empire. I dont just mean his other newspapers either. I expect trouble ahead for him in his overseas operations too. Like in the U.S and yes australia as well. This saga could quite easily be the beginning of the end for the whole murdoch empire. His name and his companys brand name is in the gutter now in terms of perception. I just wonder how long he actualy believes the smell coming from these shores wont turnup on the otherside of the atlantic for example. Eitherway i believe that the political influence and economic power his company has in this country is over. So now blood has been spilled how long before his enemies(and list them)will wait before going in for the kill,so to speak,is anyones guess. But eventually they will and i believe this is just the start. The empire has taken its first hit and it wont be the last. You can betcha bottom dollar on that!

A damn good question. I could get all phylisophical with it and say why shoud it really? We have an unknown timeup line now anyway. So why should it be much different if one was told or knew when death would become you? So yeah,i think on this question ill sound as if like the great greek 'socrates'and leave it there. Do you think the scots should be granted their wish of independence?
