Like my writing, my voice is soft and whimsical with expressions on my face. The that fact I smoke also gives it a some what rough tome.
My mother coming from Canada also puts a twist on a California accent.
No application offered and no offense taken.wink

Audio voices will come very soon to websites like CS. The technology is available and has been since the mid 80's.

I can state this as a fact because I worked in the cable television industry back then. We had institutional lines that connected audio and video between School Systems, Government Offices and Police Stations with both audio and video.

I have a friend from Ohio that is able to talk with her friend in the Philippines via audio and video on another website.

This hasn't happened yet on a larger scale because we would all have to purchase add on's to our current computer or buy a new one. It would also be a major investment for CS.

Who can afford that now in our tough economic times?

Call me and find out grin Haha!!

Ive thought the same thing too but I have talked to a few friends on the phone and its fantastic to hear their voices

I was thinking of making a thread a couple of weeks ago and start a kind of a phonathon where we could all call each other for a few mins then make comments on the thread but I didn't think anyone would be up for it laugh

drbombay: If you say so-not arrogant like me....

I said arrogant because I didn't want to appear to be conceited, which I'm definitely not.

When I speak to people on the phone and tell them my age they think I'm 20 years younger. My voice is very soft and most of the time people have to really pay attention to hear me.

You haven't told us what your voice sounds like DR.

It's a good question that you posed writing this thread because I too wonder what someone sounds like when I look at their pic.

For instance, I look at you DR and I hear a voice that sounds like.......oh, well, I have to go to the bathroom...laugh

I'm teasing ya my good man.

Im not sure that I fully understand you, but some time ago there was IM option on CS, so people could talk and see each other
