2intrigued: Umm, that's not true Monts...you'd be surprised at how many older people meet and fall madly in love. Case in point...two patients at the hospital I work in met there and were inseparable from the very first day they met. It was so heartwarming to see them together...they were like two teenagers in love. Anyway, it seemed the two of them were destined for a nursing home prior to their meeting up but when they fell in love, their health improved to the extent that they not only got married in the hospital chapel, but left the care of the hospital to move into his house that was destined to remain vacant and sold by his family.
That's a wonderful story Trigs and I thank you for it. It actually reminds me of the kind of love I would want IF I ever fell in love again.
Everybody has seen the movie The Notebook. And most remember the scene towards the end of the movie when she goes back to the house he built. They go out for a rowboat ride and it starts to rain so they rush back to shore. She's about to leave and he says "I wrote to you everyday". She's surprised cause she never got a letter from him. Her wicked mother hid all the letters from her. He says "It wasn't over and it's still not over" (my favorite line from any movie. They embrace and the kiss of passion comes over them. That's the kind of love I want if I ever love again.
