my ex-husband gave me...let's see...in the seven years we were together, he gave me one paper-back book for my birthday.
my engagement ring was...one gold hoop earring, thin, and he wore the mate. i wore that damned earring in my ear, literally, til the morning our divorce was final. i then removed it.
for valentines, however...i received lingerie. at seven months pregnant.
My ex gave me a touristy t-shirt of the city we lived in that he picked up at the seven eleven, for my birthday on year. You know the ones, 3 for $10...
my ex took a trip to south carolina with family one time, and she brought me back a plastic bottle of sea water, and a cheap bottle of sand. the bottles were like cheap ones from the dime store or something, and she collected the water and sand herself. she spent a lot on one of her friends, but her boyfriend squat.
Yeah my ex went with a bunch of her friends to Cabo San Lucas and when she got back she forgot to take the pictures off her phone of a good night she had with another guy.
My ex-husband bought me a 1" teddy bear that was wrapped in a little blanket as he felt sorry for me while I was suffering with bacterial tonsilitis (possible glandular fever, we didn't know at the time).
He bought this the day after he had left me all night with a temp of 102 to go clubbing with his mates.

My ex husband did that too only it was jewelery, i threw it all in a box and when i left i took it all to a pawn shop, bought diapers and pickles with the money!
The worst gift that I ever received was not receiving one at all.
I was in the hospital after having our son and it so just happened to be Mothers Day. He came into my room and told me that he would have bought me a card, but he couldnt find an envolope to put it in...and then he left.
Later that month, I found out that he had taken his girlfriend out for dinner and bought her a dozen roses and a gold mothers necklace....and no, he wasnt the father of her child.
