It does seem that way doesn't it? Not all men are that way, myself being one. My girlfriend doesn't have any kids (we've lived together for two yrs and haven't seen any in our apartment, lol), but in the past I have dated women that did have kids.
I think it relates to the animal in us. In nature, the males of certain species will try and kill the offspring of another male. Thank goodness that doesn't happen with people, lol. There are a few good guys out there who having kids doesn't send them running.
Obviously any man that can't accept the whole package (yourself and your kid(s) ), isn't worth your time. My mom & dad (step) have been together for 23yrs now, and he is the one who I am proud to call dad.
If some here don't know me, that's ok. I haven't been on for the most part of 2yrs. For those that do remember me, hello.
Just thought I'd drop in and let all of you know I am still with my girlfriend, it'll be 2yrs in January. We've moved a couple times, around town but upgraded to something bigger n better.
Best of luck to all in your searches, the holidays, and whatever your lives bring you
As some know, I've been on this site for almost 2 yrs. I've had some dates here and there, but no luck. I now have someone special in my life, going on three months actually. Her name is Tabitha, and she is wonderfull, as well as beautiful inside and out. I met her thru a friend, he introduced us & things went from there. I hate getting out of bed each day, but I get very happy when it's time to go home. Yes, we are living together. Soon you might say, yes, but things are going great. Her birthday is next week, so I've been listening to her likes & dislikes, and I know what I'm gonna get her. I even took vacation time to spend her day with her. Just thought I'd let my friends here know that I haven't fallen off the planet.
I would love to be in Glendale for it!! Have you seen what the tickets alone, not including airfare and hotel is???? Good grief!
I dunno bout the Gators. Ohio State has an explosive offense, and a highly talented defense, that can come up with huge plays. With the loss of 9 defensive starters from last yr, eveyone didn't think we'd have it...........SUPRISE!!! I look for a good game, but I gotta give my boys a 7 to 10 point margin of victory.........at least
Tressel knows how to coach his team to victory, especially the big games!!
'02 they counted us out against Miami before the game, oh this, oh that, they have too much speed for the Buckeyes, blah, blah, blah. I think our defense is just as good, and we have an offense to go with it.
I've heard the defense "hype". Heard it all day long before the OSU vs. UM, and they got shredded. Tressel knows what Meyer can cook up with Leak & Tebow, I don't think the 2 qb system is a proven winner, we had to deal with it in the late 90's with Jackson & Germaine. If you take the points scored on us against Michigan as a determining factor against our defense, I have much pity. OSU vs. UM was probably one of the greatest games I ever witnessed besides the Title win over the Hurricanes. I'm not saying Florida doesn't have any talent, I just don't think they have enough accross the board. Ohio State can go 8 deep on the d-line, 5-6 deep at reciever, 5-6 deep at linebacker, Pittman and Chris Wells at tailback. Against Texas in the heat, Tressel rotated about everyone. When your 3rd team is better than everyone else's 1st team, come on now
I don't mean to offend, I just don't see the Gators going to our other home state, lol, and being able to put together 4 quarters to beat us. They might have a run or two, but not the whole game
Monday, January 8th, the NCAA National Championship game will be held in Glendale, Arizona. My Ohio State Buckeyes will face the Florida Gators. Ohio State with an undefeated record of 12-0, and Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith should make suitcases out of the Gators. Florida had a repectable record of 11-1, but I don't think they have the firepower to hang the whole 4 quarters with the Buckeyes.
What are any of your predictions??????????????????
I think a lot goes into it. Physical attraction plays a role in it, I like profiles with pictures so I can see who I am emailing, ect... I read their profiles to see what and who they are, and what they want or say they want. Some I have read forum postings. It takes more than physical attraction to sway my hopes and asparations into pursuing a lady.
I tend to lean towards the first guys' reaction. When my ex got that way, I would always try to comfort her, and find out what was wrong. But at times, some women do get too dramatic. I'm not trying to offend anyone, or to make fun of this, but some do. I don't see it as a sign of weakness.
what's wrong with bull riding? I think it is awesome, and I intend on climbing on the back of one, giving the nod, point my left arm towards heaven, and hanging on with everything I got awaiting the 8 second buzzer, the run like hell to the fence after I'm off. I've done the mechanical ones, not like the real.
I'm the type of guy who.....What you see, is what you get. I've never been one to follow the crowd. I think somethings are cool that others don't. I do things because I want to, not because I feel pressured.
No snow here, just rain since friday. I want some snow to have some fun in my 4x4 truck, that's about it. Other than that, I'm ready for warm weather.......brrrrrr
Me, I'm glad I don't have to be concerned with baldness. I haven't had a new pic up for a yr, but I have my hair grown back. The baldness trait doesn't run in my family. If I did, it would be the clean shaven look I have here.
Treatment....hair restorations, that's ok. a toupe or hairpiece is cheesy.
There are things that happen for a reason. Things that happen beyond our control. Things that happen with no explaination. God has a plan for each one of us, the question is... will we follow? I'm not saying you have to spend all you free time in church, or on you knees praying. I'm definitely not one to push god onto anyone, but he's out there. With my recent experiences with my father and best friend Rob, yes I did ask god to be with them and take care of them. Now both of them are doing just fine.
He was home yesterday We hung out, and he told me what happened. He said he was at his wife's aunt&uncle's house and had his one side feel weird/numb. He fell, they took him to the hospital, ran a couple tests, then called in the life-flight chopper. He said he had what I would call "a visit from god", and the doctors (Riverside) couldn't come up with nothing what so ever to explain what happend to him. Up at Marion General, scans shown he had one before & during the scans, but Riverside (a far better facility), couldn't find any evidence he had one at all. He has no side effects at all, it is amazing.
Doing the internet dating thing is a risk in itself. You never know for sure. But, you could truley meet someone wonderful and the one for you as well. It's a risk you have to accept. The best things in life aren't often the easiest to come by. Keep your chin up, things will be fine!! You'll see.
I went into work today at 2am for overtime before my shift (6:30am to 3pm), when I recieve a text message from one of my best friends, Rob. The message said he was life flighted from Marion General Hospital, here in Marion, to Riverside Hospital in Columbus. He said he had a stroke, TWICE. This guy is like a brother to me, so naturally I was worried. When my regular shift started, I asked my supervisor if I could leave asap & explained to him what was going on. He told me he would as soon as he could. I got out at 10am, went home to shower and was on my way to Riverside. When In arrived, He seemed to be doing ok, but the were running numerous tests on him to find out what is wrong. He was whining he wanted out of there, he's about the same as myself when it comes to hospitals. Everything thus far has been negative, and his stubborn butt is supposed to let me know if they doctors find out anything. Thing is, he's only 33yrs old!
I've been thru these hospital situations too many times. My father 4 months ago (triple bypass), my uncle that passed away about 4 yrs ago, a close friend's dad passed almost 6yrs ago, my grandmother almost 22yrs ago. It's all been heart-related, ugh!!
Riverside is one of the best in the country with heart-related illness and such, and so is the Ohio State University hospital. I know he's in very skillfull hands, but I still worry about the big lug!!
RE: Why do men run from a single parent?
It does seem that way doesn't it? Not all men are that way, myself being one. Fear not, there is one out there for you
