I like trying to help others here. This is one of the times I could use some help of my own.
Obviously I'm still single. I am so tired of being that way. I have become a more open person of late. I have asked a handfull of women I've been intrested in, to go out. I haven't gotten any takers. I hate to get shot down, but hey, I tried.
I ran into a gal I asked out a couple months ago, not too long ago. When I asked her, she basically gave me the run around, and toyed with my emotions. When I recently ran into her, she quickly got my attention, and introduced me to her new boyfriend. UGH!! I had talked to her, and befriended her a long while back. The whole time I felt I had a good chance, but was scared to ask. Call it waiting too long, or whatever. We work at the same place, different departments. Last week, she came by my area. The guy I work with hollered at me, and I turned to see her waiting to get my attention to say hi to me. What the hell? I'm still friends with her, but she acts so weird. It's like she's intrested, but when I try to ask her out, she toys with me. I don't get it.
A couple weeks ago, me and my 2 best friends went out. We went to the local kareokee spot. It is a very laid back, good atmosphere. I don't think it is one of those typical "bars". I know a lot of people there that are awesome. I wouldn't shy away from meeting a woman there. I had 2 girls show intrest that night. The one sent her friend to tell me she thought I was "hot". I was wondering what she was drinking, cause I wanted what she was having, lol. I thought cool, she was cute. I got out on the dance floor with my buddies, and was moving over to ask her to dance, when I had another girl start dancing on me. At this point the confusion grew. This doesn't happen to me. The other girl, "Brandi", said her friend told her to dance with me. Her friend said I was a good guy, but be carefull. She told me her friend knew me. I couldn't place her for the life of me, and still cannot. "Brandi" was intrested, no doubt, she told me so. When I later asked her for her number, and if she would like to hang out sometime, she gave me the run around. She said she had to ask her friend. You're an adult, make up your own mind!!!! She said she would be out the following week, but wasn't. I was supposedly gonna hang out with her, dance, maybe sing a song or something.UGH!!!!
I've kept my eyes open in numerous places, but the same results. If any of you are familiar about me, I think you have a general understanding of the type of man I am. Why is it I always go down the same road, no matter where I am? What the hell is so wrong with me, I cannot find someone? A few months back I had a handful of dates, but no serious prospects.

I'm with you Navy, go Longhorns! I am a die-hard Ohio State Buckeyes fan, but I like Vince Young and am tired of USC. The only way Texas has a chance is to stop Reggie Bush, and put up a lot of points. I think if they take away the biggest threat (Bush), and make Lienart (who's good, don't get me wrong) beat them, Texas stands a far better chance. Had it not be for the Buckeyes early season stumbles, we should've been in the Rose Bowl facing the Trojans. I think OSU's defense would've rattled some cages in USC's attack.
Jerome, Like a lot of folks, I've experienced the same feelings. I am afraid of being hurt again. Sometimes you have to take that chance though. You could miss out on the greatest thing to happen to you if you run. I feel you won't. I glad you have met someone, and best of luck. The best things in life aren't always the easiest, and it tends to scare us due to all the "what if" scenerios. Go for it, I don't think you'll be dissapointed.

I don't want what a bad relationship brings. To go into detail on a bad relationship would take far too long. I would rather be lonely than miserable. Yes, lonely can be miserable too, but it would be better than a bad relationship.

No, I don't want a replacemant Lionhearted. I may not ever forgive the things done to me, but in no way am I placing any comparision or replace my ex. A new woman in my life would hopefully be a good chapter in my life. I don't expect anything of the ex from a new woman in my life. I'm not a fan of rejection, but I guess I should be used to it. It's not necessarily a no being the rejection. It can range from verbal, body lanquage, ect... It can be hard, especially if you get lead on and think it's a lock, to only get shot down.

looks play a factor in attraction, that's not a lie. I'm sure everyone would love to have a hottie. Jessica Simpson for example, drop dead gorgeous but dumber than a box of rocks. I couldn't see myself with her, even if she's hot. I want a woman I can actually have a conversation with, and not get a clueless look everytime. I have been at the point in my life where I want to find a good woman to start a family. Since my ex-fiance and I split almost 2 yrs ago next month, I have had troubles in my search. I know the best way is to start slow, my problem is finding one to start with. I have been on a handful of dates, but the question still remains, where is she? When I go out with friends, I don't look for anyone. If a woman approaches and wants to dance, fine. I know it's extremely rare you will meet a potential soulmate at a bar/club. At work, there are many women employed. I've asked a couple out to no avail. I have my eye on a couple I intend to ask out soon.
I know there are some good women here, so I figured I could get very useful advise. I know how to treat a woman, and I am a good man, I just have problems meeting them.
