RE: What's the worst/cheapest gift a boyfriend/girlfriend ever gave you?

my ex took a trip to south carolina with family one time, and she brought me back a plastic bottle of sea water, and a cheap bottle of sand. the bottles were like cheap ones from the dime store or something, and she collected the water and sand herself. she spent a lot on one of her friends, but her boyfriend squat.

RE: What do YOU do for a living?

I work for Whirlpool Corp, located here in Marion, Ohio. We are the largest producer of clothes dryers in the world. I work in the assembly area, on the newest dryer line. We will dramatically increase in production once we fully start running all the Maytag line at our facility. For those who are unaware, Whirlpool purchased Maytag earlier this year, and all the Whirlpool & Maytag dryers will come from our shop. Whirlpool alone we make at least close to 5 million dryers a yr, and will add at least 1-2 million more when we fully incorporate the maytag models into our shop.

OSU/TEXAS update

Like I said before the game, Ohio State was going to win. Texas couldn't stop Troy Smith from picking them apart, and was so worried about Ted Ginn Jr, that Anthony Gonzalez ate them alive. Texas had some sucess running the ball, but that was it. The officials seemed to be Texas fans, especially on the roughing the passer call. It was close, but it was not a melicious helmet to helmet shot that would necessitate such a call. That penalty set up the only score for Texas. The Buckeye defense came up huge, especially James Luaranitis (son of former pro wrestler the Animal of the Road Warriors/ Legion of Doom). He had a forced fumble, interception, and multiple tackles. There was such a big question mark about our defense, especially after losing the best trio of linebackers ever to take the feild together (Hawk, Carpenter, Schlegel). I wasn't as concerned as all these spotcasters made it appear to be. At Ohio State, we don't rebuild, we reload. In my eyes, we should be able to run the table, like we did in '02.

peace peace

RE: i am hurtin again

I have been in a similar situation before, and yes it sucks to get "duped". If you desire to find someone to love and be loved by, giving up pursuit isn't going to yeild nothing but loneliness, trust me. I've been to the point before where my trust in women was shot, and thought of throwing in the towel. All that came of that was me being lonely and upset. Nothing good ever comes easy, sometimes we have to go thru one after another heartaches to find that one.

Me for example..........I recently had met a girl (on here) that lived near me. She contacted me, and we seemed to hit it off. Things went good for a couple of weeks (we went out ect....). I talked to her on the phone every day whether or not I was going to see her that particular day, she called me all the time, ect..... All of a sudden, the phone calls stopped, and I couldn't get ahold of her when I called. I decided to email her to find what was up. She emailed me back and said we seemed more like friends, and she met someone else. I think it was a let down..seeming like friends, no more, when in fact she met someone, and didn't have the decency to let me know, I had to pry it out of her. Her loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was hurt, I really liked her. I had been feeling like you, you know, hell with it all, I'm done. The last couple weeks I was feeling this way. Then came this past weekend. I met someone new, we've hit it off pretty well, and I'm intrested to see where it goes. I didn't give up though, it was meerly a thought. It just came to be by fate so to speak.

Don't give up, it will happenhug

RE: Do you tip??

My mom has been a waitress for 20 plus yrs, so yes I am one who tips. There is the occasion where a rude server or poor service may affect the amount I tip.

OSU vs. Texas

hey there. yes, my dad is doing well, thank you. he made it home saturday evening, and all looks good in his recovery right nowhandshake

OSU vs. Texas

This saturday the #1 and #2 teams in the country square off.... Ohio State vs. Texas. This is the first time in about 10 yrs or so the #1 and #2 teams have met this early in the regular season since I think Miami and Florida State did it.

I think the Buckeyes are in better shape than the Longhorns. We have Heisman hopeful QB Troy Smith, who is a far better passer than Young was, Ted Ginn Jr, who can catch him, Antonio Pittman, a durable back. The biggest name Texas has in my opinion is their stud reciever Sweede(spelling?). The Buckeyes lost a lot of talent this past off-season defensively, most of whom are in the NFL now. But we seem to only reload yr after yr defensively. Right now we're not a good defensively as we were a yr ago, but still we've got a talented group. We now have a high-octane offense we've lacked for yrs. "Three yards and a cloud of dust", not this yr, more like "off to the races".

Of course my pick is the Buckeyes. I think our explosive offense, and stable defense will win it for us. I want to know what the others out here thinkpeace

RE: IS IT MORE PAINFUL...

to lose "what was" I think is the more severe. Yes, to think of "what might've been" can be tough, but to lose what was there is the killer.

I've often thought of what could've been when thinking of my ex, but what was is the one that hurts.

I can safely say I'm over "her", but the feelings of love and happiness, and the rest of the wonderfull things to go along with it, are what I yearn for

RE: USMC- any marines out there?

never officially, but a jarhead at heart. my dad was a marine.

so much for a good..........

Guess what? I got the ole......." I want you as a friend" routine. No big deal, I'm used to it. Back to the old drawing board. I admit I was a little hurt because I liked her, but it's not the end of the world. So ladies I'm free once again!!!! Being a nice guy isn't necessarilly a bad thing, but dammit this is getting old!!!

My dad's still at the hospital. He's doing ok. He's had some problems with his lungs, he was a smoker for 20 some odd yrs, but nothing that shouldn't have him home soon. I was there last saturday.

My favorite time is back...........OHIO STATE FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!
