They keep finding dead bodies in odd places, like down laundry chutes, tucked away behind bins in odd corners, etc etc, and tis only when the smell hits them that they realise there`s another dead body hiding.

As sad as it is, but I’ve noticed that there’s always some kind of rationale behind any, or almost any, behavior that may seem bizarre to an outsider. One has to “dig” deeper, or look wider, or get involved to understand the motives and procedures. In short, one has to be an insider.
And the strongest rationale is one’s believes, however irrational it would be for a non-believer. (I’m returning to the subject of the thread.

No!.. as long as an objective good is not defined. So far, what is good for one is wrong for another.
Smoky has noticed a very important thing - the powerlessness of Jesus (despite working wonders to help people)..and that is the clue in my opinion. Shields are powerless too, but when we hit them we can hurt ourselves. So I find to be more important what we protect than what we want to get (imo)

Very interesting what you say.In the 1970`s Hal Lindsay wrote a book called "The Late Great Planet Earth" ...... interpreting the last book of the Bible, and it all is happening now.
At that time he also wrote that America was no longer a "super power" (America was not even mentioned in the prophesies)....... and how the East will move into the West (China is on the move already, financially) ..... and the Israelis are looking to fulfill their destinies with the Palestinians? ... with the wealthy Arab states looking on....?

But never fear! To our rescue will come the Anti-Christ (perfect huh? a Godlike benevolent ruler) followed by his False Prophet(who makes miracles and calls it religion). And everyone will worship this Godlike fellow the Anti-Christ! And have his "mark" in your hand or forehead (a chip?) to enable one to trade/buy/sell. Failure to receive this mark will result in having your head chopped off.
And they will reign for 1,000 years.
The lucky ones will have died in the meantime, and chosen to go live on another planet in another galaxy.

I don't know why you think I'm confused, I just do not agree that one has to be afraid of God to do good, or for that matter believe that he/she exists...
As for ther being more than one God, you could be right, I don't know, though there are many religions who's Gods appear to be similar.. but not in every case... (also, it helps if you quote text back to us when replying..
