Yes it is,...we never lock the doors here. If they want in, they'll get in,...so why have them bust down the door. Just let them walk straight in so I can get a clean shot off!

Was talking to a someone in California a couple of days ago. He said the weather where I'm going to at that time of the year is 15 to 16C. Cold. Then he corrected himself, and said well maybe not for you. I laughed and said nope, not for us - it's bikini weather. Thought the poor guy was going to drop from my comment.

The lights aren't for secrity, they're so you can see the icy spots on the sidewalks and driveway. Damn freezing rain, damn Alberta.

Happy New Year! And yup, DAMN freezing rain! Its January 5th and another day of the freezing stuff up here. HELL, they have even closed down Highway 63 to Ft. Mac because of it and they usually only close THAT highway for 20 car pile ups!

I have bars on my windows, break down bars, double locks on the windows, and an alarm system. Hmm, a gun sounds like a good idea.
My best bud stays in the house throughout the day while I am at work and I never lock the door. He is an American Staffordshire Terrier(Pit Bull). I always say who would come into my house with my pup staring at them when they open the door. If truth were told, he would just wag his tail and want to be petted, LOL Only in Alberta!! 
Guns have drawbacks also. A shotgun can definitely re-arrange a china cabinet.
The temperature change from +10C. to -30C. over night can only happen in Alberta.
