tomcatwarne: Also if no signals reach us how can we see them!!!!!!

We can't, if they come from the outer regions but as Al pointed out, there are plenty of other closer galaxies within our reach.

barrone: Just curious
If we knew that, then we'd have to know who created the person that created God, wouldnt we?

stringman: God always was and always will be. God was before any thing was written in the bible. God told what to write in the bible, thus these are Gods words to man kind to follow . He knew he would not be here on earth with us in body.
Any proof that GOD instructed man/men to right the bible.?

tomcatwarne: That we can see distant stars is proof enough, after all light is electromagnetic radiation, haven't got enough space to explain relativity here

Sorry Tom I don't follow ..... proof enough of what ?

I've got patience.popcorn popcorn grin

( I know about the photon / electromagnetic speed match )

That electromagnetic radiation propagated from long distances away will reach us.

tomcatwarne: We can see pretty well to the edge of the universe now

I know, amazing isn't it .....peace

If you believe in the theory of inflation, when the very early universe suddenly expanded into the void practically instantaneously ( beyond the speed of light ) then the outer edge that we can now almost see is not the real edge. It has taken billions of years for that light from the edge to travel inwardly towards us and we are only seeing it now. And during that time it has also been traveling/expanding in an outward direction for the same amount of time. So instead of the radius of the universe measuring 13.7 billion light years it will in fact be much more, 20 or 25 billion light years perhaps.

We will never ever be able to catch up to that light and see the real edge of the universe, only a snap shot in time.

it is impossible to answer because the next question would be who created the god who created the first god...............................

Re:- Albertaghost

[To think that a similar combination would not occur anywhere in the universe is like saying the stock market will never go up or that a flipped coin will forever only turn heads.]

That makes sense.... seems logical there can be more than just us spinning around out here. Sadly , it appears no proof of such has shown up at this stage , even with our attempts at further exploration.
Perhaps one day we might be fortunate enough to learn more about our universe and what it's all about... hope I live long enough for that experience.

If this is a one off chance thing , compared to the basic animals here , humans sure are strange creatures.

Yet still no enlightenment as to who created God???

And in addition to this, if the universe is expanding at or near light speed then any signals sent from the outer regions of space will never reach us.

This is the quote I was referring to.

And yet no discovery of any other life form as yet !!!!!!!

Fascinating ..so here we are with all our animals , and about 6 billion humanoids, spinning around in nowhere, with no understandable purpose, with no relative life-form outside of our little globe that we know of , being told we were created by "God"!!!!

Hmmmm, hence my questiondunno
