I hate multi-culti too, but there's no doubt in my mind that we'll end up going too far the other way as the result of this backlash. From one extreme to the other, it's the story of Mankind.
Danish????? It's Dutch as in Holland or the Netherlands. As usual the good folk in the US show us how knowledgeable they are about European Geography and Nationality.
Straightdown: Danish????? It's Dutch as in Holland or the Netherlands. As usual the good folk in the US show us how knowledgeable they are about European Geography and Nationality.
Just pointing out a fact. The thread Headline says Danish and then I read the article and see it's actually about the Dutch.....Our American friend obviously thinks they are the same....
Just like the Americans and Canadians I suppose or the Germans and Swiss???

and you know about the geograghy of the Americas right ....
Just picked up....Andrew C. McCarthy's "The Grand Jihad: How Islam and the Left Sabotage America"
A quote of the books cover leaf..."The real threat to the United States is not terrorism. The real threat is sophisticated forces of Islam, which have collaborated the American left not only to undermine US National Security, but also to shred the fabric of American democracy-freedom and individual liberty."
If you think that you have heard Andrew McCarthy name before....he was Federal Prosecuting Attroney that convicted the 'blind sheik' and other terrorist the bombed the World Trade center in 1993. In that conviction, he connected the 'blind sheik' to one bin Laden.
Should be a interesting read. I will post good quotes as they come up here.
Straightdown: Well I know the difference between Canada, United States, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and so on.
If I see an article mentioning attitudes of people in New York I would not put a headline on the thread saying Canadian views on multiculturalism!
Well why don't you tell me about lets sat the Mohawks...what group of natives do they belong to... what lag do they speak...I will even give you time to google it...
Lets face it you know less about the Americas than most anyone knows about Europe...
And if you guys think you have the corner on dumb questions well think again ...lots of them across the pond as well
and I would LOVE to either of you debate with the OP.....that would be funny
There are relative and positive snobs.I mean by positive, such persons as are snobs everywhere,in all companies, from morning till night, from youth to the grave, being by Nature endowed with Snobbishness - and others who are snobs only in certain circumstances and relations of life"
by William Makepeace Thackeray - The Book of Snobs
Snobbery makes people to be ignorant;makes people appreciate more form than substance. Finally snobbery is a form of human misery, which makes people to be alone among so many people. Snobbery is fashionable, many people aspire to "high society",luxury and money starting to lose their uniqueness. Not all people can be Donald Trump but that does not mean Trump is superior, because you can't be like him.The people must give up all ideas of superiority or inferiority and replace them with idea of uniqueness.I think people will appreciate more each other. I appreciate people who have common sense,no matter the level of education ; I don't like snobs and arrogant.
I borrowed this from Carinas.....I found that it fit this thread rather well.
