Have you checked the importation fees in your country? And the requirements for it? What about the further service for the vehicle?
I hope you get what you want.
If I could afford it I would choose first BMW then Audi.
I think your car has to match with your personality but also you have to match with the car.
(Mine is an inexpensive one 5 years old although in great shape, 4 cilinders, Seat-Ibiza).

Yes, many Germans, especially the younger generations, speak very good English. But you'll have more fun if you'll at least learn a few words, like thank you and please and, you'd not believe which one the third most important one (or phrase) is, "where is the bathroom?" The more you learn, the more you'll enjoy your trip. Moreover, you may be able to negotiate a car price if you'll at least learn basic numbers. As far as the car is concerned, it may be cheaper, but beware of a few things: Customs fees, equipping the car for US pollution and safety requirements either there or here, currency fluctuations (the lower the Euro, the cheaper your price; right now it's down a bit). Since the price you pay in Hamburg may include a transfer fee, you'll probably get a new Volkswagen for a better price in Wolfsburg, for a Mercedes in Stuttgart-Sindelfingen, for a BMW in Munich, etc. Do take in some of the sights while you are anywhere, there is lots of history, lots to see. Used cars will be everywhere, the greater the population, logically, the greater the number of used cars. So just check the population figures. Also study driving rules in Germany, which differ somewhat from US rules in most states, if you intend to drive the car to a port yourself (Amsterdam in Holland? Hamburg in Northern Germany?) Maybe call the German Consulate General (not an Honorary Consul) closest to you for additional information (talk to the Trade Attaché), dg
No, I am sure they don't. Google.....Scout24, then click PKW or Autos, you will find informatiom from private sellers.Plenty of choices there, you can contact the seller before you go over to Germany.
Good luck....another thing you could try, type in a German city and then Gebrauchtwagen, used cars, or Neuwagen, new cars. Every city in Germany has plenty of showrooms. Hope that makes sense???

Our friend comes from Baku in Azerbaijan so hardly any shipping to be done,no water, just drive the car back home.
The only problem could be import taxes, which can be pretty high depending on the age of the car, as Azerbaijan is not in the EU. Just another tip for the poster, a lot of Germans go up to Denmark to buy their cars because they are cheaper there.

Thank u very much for ur info ,sir.its very helpfull.
If you buy a car in Germany - and perhaps other countries as well - and then drive it to a shipping point or drive it directly to your country, the car will then have some miles on it and will be considered a used car. It's much cheaper to ship a used car than a new one, and I note that you want a used car, anyway.
