LONDON (Dow Jones)--Jaguar Land Rover, the carmaker owned by India's Tata Motors Ltd (TTM), will confirm this week that it plans to build a GBP400 million engine plant in the U.K. Midlands that could create up to 2,000 jobs, The Sunday Telegraph reports without citing sources. The announcement about the plant and that Jaguar Land Rover has secured financial support from the U.K. government to bring the plant to the U.K. could come as early as Monday, the paper says. The engine plant will be based in Wolverhampton in a business park that has been earmarked as an enterprise zone, and the U.K. government has also offered around GBP10 million of support for the plant, although it is not clear what form this will take, the Sunday Times reports. A spokesman for Jaguar Land Rover declined to comment. -London Bureau, Dow Jones Newswires; +44 (0)20 7842 9320
