yeah of course but if your on a girls night out you arent gonna be looking for a man in all seriousness or at least not for a lasting relationship laugh

Well good for you Uno, you obviously have the time, energy and the money for it.

I assume you mean pubs or clubs when you talk about socialising earlier in the thread - sorry I don't know how to double quote.
There are people who don't like spending time in pubs and never go even close the clubs.
Going on my own to a pub full of strangers is not my favourite way to pass time, which I don't have so much of either as I am working.
I am talkative but I need to hear what the other person is saying if I want to be able to have a discussion.
If the pub is noisy, that is barely possible - and I am also very weary of my hearing so I try to avoid loud places where you have to scream.
Which explains why I don't even go close the clubs.
I do my dancing in Céilíes!

I get the impression you jump to conclusion only based on the forum users?
There is a big mass of ordinary nice people out there who never even tip a toe in the forum sea.
I have had the pleasure of getting to know some of them, personally I mean, not only by mailing and also got a few new friends.
Based on my experience I would say there are a lot of people looking for company and new friends - like me - or seriously looking for a relationship - which I wouldn't say no to either, if I met The Right One.
Why would they give up quickly? Us "older generation" don't have the concentracion span of a squirrel, so we can bid our time. grin

Que sera, sera.

Not where I live, no. I have friends in LK that I stay with sometimes if I'm out with them, but I like to get home to my own bed grin

Anyway, don't you be worrying your wee head about me.....I'm not moaning about being single dancing

unouwantme2: others are here looking 4 ''the one'' and prob struggling.. why not get out more is all im saying and more then likely it will be alot easier
To be honest I wouldn't class the pub or club as a good place to meet a potential partner its more just for a hook up in my opinion. As for the likes of me who are one parent families, being able to get out every weekend or even during the week has to be organised in advance and I don't have the money to be paying babysitters every other night just so I can go out. It's just not an option for some of us and so a place like this gives us another alternative. Some of us might come across as not too serious about finding someone on here, that is a good thing in my opinion. It shows that we/they are happy with ourselves and our lives and are not desperate just to be in a "relationship" for the sake of it.

If it's for you, it won't pass you!!
