thats cool. it can be really easy to teach a dog to do things like that, its all about finding what motivates the dog be it food or play or praise and using it when they do what you want. one of my dogs does loads of tricks from rolling over to opening the back door. does depend on the dog though some are just thick like many labradors, good retrievers for hunting but not a lot going on between their ears laugh

wave Sal

They love to learn new things, keeps the mind occupied.

Mine was 4 when she moved to Ireland, she since then learned to sit and lay down in Irish and sneeze in English even though I don't have much time to train her.
That adds her languages to total four laugh
Especially the sneeze trick is a huge favourite of everybody, but it works only with a treat.
I should actually get somebody to film it and post it to YouTube! idea

some of them do but some are just dense, not just labs though the likes of cavaliers and the bulk of toy breeds are too dainty to learn anything though that has a lot to do with the owners that have them laugh

True! But I'm not sure if those toys qualify as a REAL dog! grin

My brother had an Airedale terrier who must have been disabled somehow, she was thick as a plank! Very lovable but OMG so daft!

airedales are thick, they have the attention span of a gnat which is odd for a proper terrier. toy dogs are called toy dogs for a reason, they are a waste of space for the most part just so people can copy the celebs with their dogs in their handbags roll eyes
