MY FIRST CHARITY FUNDRAISER (10)

organizing my very first charity tabel quiz fundraiser for the irish cancer society here in kilkenny . I dont know should i be worried ive a group of eight mates all brilliant except one i came up with the idea only i gave the job of advertising the thing to my friend tom , who,s job was to do posters send in stuff to newspapers and do a good job on the Pro side .Only i found out the little brat has be doing nothing all week and i mean nothing all week ive been getting phone calls no never got a phone call and what you on about what tabel quiz . Im really really worried i more or less had to send off a few stuff to sum newspapers advertising the thing take phone calls from radio stations run around town into various various shops and business getting prizes which i said i was doing didnt expect to be doing two jobs . Fingers crossed for me lads and lassies all will go well tonight and not a holy war errupts FINGERS CROSSED !!!!

I'm a tad bit confused here what are you actually trying to say?? Your annoyed because your friend didn't deliver the expectations you set out for him and he says he's knows nothing about it is this correct?

My advice to you is keep it simple posters incur cost thus did you expect him to take this responsibility of cost also why didn't you call him or e mail him asking him what he had achieved so far prior to this ''rant'' today

Organizing events like this are stressful though of course for the greater good you are expecting people to put there own time, energy into something is not easy! COMMUNICATION IS VITAL

I helped organised a fun raising day weeks of organizing the most stressful part was making sure that jobs that we assigned were done! and people tend to let you down... it was really difficult though we managed to raise just under €6000 in six hours! I did say at the time again never again!!! though damn organizing the next one soon!

Oh and I meant to say Well done!! Keep it up and in time you'll get better
