Happy birthday! I'm 47 myself so I can say no, there's plenty of life left yet but go for it, start doing things that were on the back of your mind to do. There's a big difference between 40 and 50 so make the next 10 years productive!

Personally I think its just a state of mind. Birthdays used to bother me until i realised they are something worth celebrating because some people don't make to that age.
I also think you have to live each day as if its your last.

when i hit 40 ill still have 2 kids under 9..some people have teens..some have no kids..
its a state of mind..state of life issue..
age is nothing...each day is a day of its own..who cares what number is attached..
