No i dont think so. I dont think I have ever made the first move. I think its a confidence thing with woman or lack of! If he made a move and I wasn't feeling it i would let him know. JMO

women cannot deal with rejection the same way that men can..men will brush it off and move on...a woman would take it personal if her advances were rejected and most women never take risks so why would they go out on a limb and make the first move? most are too busy in their own little airy fairy bubble comfort zone

Well since men usually make the first move, I think they are more used to getting turned down than women are.
I do think it depends on the person though. Some people have very fragile egos, male and female sometimes.

Plenty of women make the first move and they have to deal with rejection all the time. The complaint might be that the women men want to make a move on them just don't. They can't read your minds, guys
