John says that he wrote it "because I was sick of White Christmas," and it could well take over as the annual Yuletide anthem. It's terrifically singable, in the tradition of All You Need Is Love or Give Peace A Chance, and it's very pretty, too. The words are simple and direct, with the chorus going "War is over/If you want it/War is over now," while John and Yoko express appropriate good wishes to all mankind.

yeah my 45 on green vynil has Listen The Snow Is Falling for a flip side but demo is both sides so this is christmas...

he was trying to seperate himself from everything to find himself..he did primal scream therapy with dr janus...during this era too...he was trying to free himself from all earthly entanglements...he wanted to quit the beatles while recording the album help..he was so torn looking for answer to who he was...seeking but never finding..this angered him...he thought organized religions were the devils tools...SELF was what he seeked...just like when he left yoko and went to live with may pang in california...he never found himself...and struggled till he died...he was not dissing christ per say but the people who used him...to me he was a worthy prophet but was dispersed in so many different directions....------ This thread is Archived ------

When one says "I don't believe in Jesus" clearly states their point of view and does not reflect upon how others "use Christ." And the same applies to his saying "I believe in me." and that does reflect upon what you stated "SELF was what he seeked." And I agree with you that Lennon had struggled throughout his lifetime, searching for who he was "but was dispersed in so many different directions."The man wanted worldly peace but could not find it within himself, or maybe he had found it in the end but by then his life was taken from him.

So yours was on green vynil, mine had the Apple label but black. Youtube has blocked the Happyxmas video from Canada for copyright reasons but i'm sure I saved it from last year.
