Albertaghost: So Islam was in violation of the Koran all those centuries as it took over half the known world? Wow.

And the 800 million Indians killed ini the middle ages were done by Islam in the name of peace.

Oh, by the way, 800 million by the sword is one hell of a lot more than 68,000 by a nuclear bomb.

""Muslim conquest in South Asia mainly took place from the 13th to the 16th centuries, though earlier Muslim conquests made limited inroads into the region, beginning during the period of the ascendancy of the Rajput Kingdoms in North India, from the 7th century onwards. Some historians contest it as the bloodiest chapter in Human history""

ughhh...you have done it again, albert! So,where does exactly your wikipedia link says "800" millions? oops..it says 80 millions (not 800 millions)! So..was it an 'intentional mistake' albert! Anway, the link says, and i will quote from your same wikipedia link " An estimate of the number of people killed, based on the Muslim chronicles and demographic calculations, was done by K.S. Lal in his book Growth of Muslim Population in Medieval India, who claimed that between 1000 CE and 1500 CE, the population of Hindus decreased by 80 million"

the funny part is at the end of the quote (from your wikipedia link albert) that i mentioned above writes "1][unreliable source?]" (intentional mistake again, albert!?..hahahaha), which means the data may have been gathered from UNRELIABLE SOURCE

Anywho, your wikipedia link continues like this (which you very cleverly avoided mentioning again), and i will quote again: His work has come under criticism by historians such as Simon Digby (School of Oriental and African Studies) and Irfan Habib for its agenda and lack of accurate data in pre-census times.

So, what is the criticism all about? it can be found in your same wikipedial link, albert. But, very predictably, you completely forgot(!) to mention about the criticism again! poor albert. Anyway, if you click on the text link " Growth of Muslim Population in Medieval India" in your wikipedia link under the paragraph "coversion controversy", you will see how the work of Mr. Lal (from who you got your data on how many muslims were killed) has been "discredited". Here is what it says for your information albert: K.S. Lal's study of the demographic situation in medieval India was also criticized. Simon Digby criticized the book in a review in "Bulletin of the School of Oriental and African Studies":
"The author is known for his detailed studies of the Khalji dynasty and of the fifteenth-century Delhi Sultanate. He is well versed in the sources of medieval North Indian history. In the present study he has assembled almost all the conceivably relevant data and for this reason it will remain of value as a compendium of references. Yet the unknown variables are so great and the quality of the data yielded by our sources so poor that almost any detailed general estimates of population based upon them must appear wilful, if not fantastic."

Historian Irfan Habib criticized the book in his "Economic History of the Delhi Sultanate - An Essay in Interpretation" (Habib 1978). K.S. Lal wrote a reply to Irfan Habib's criticism in 1979 (Lal 1979) and in 1999 (Lal 1999).

So, what's the point of putting "controversial" data, albert? Should we assume that your hatred for muslims/islam and your 'desperate attempt' to justify the killing of many innocent people by those thugs and criminals (the fanatic conservative war hawks)in your "league" has absolutely made you blind? i absolutely feel sorry for you, dude.

Hate to break this to you my man but Islam conquered the known world by the sword, not the book so, if you find something you beleive to be not true, show us all where the Indians converted voluntarily rather than by force.

mnowsa:
So, what is the criticism all about?

That violence is more apparent in Islam than in the West. Your own human rights abuses according to the international NGOs such as Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International explain it even in terms people such as yourself cannot refute.

mnowsa: i absolutely feel sorry for you, dude.

And I in turn have broad shoulders to carry the weight I have but seriously, I feel sorry for the oppressed you tread on in your day to day life in your country.

Alright! now without any typo errors.

Which country has killed more people on earth in the last 112 years, other than the USA?

And I don't care much about the switzerland Democracy as they are still infants. Imagine in Just 22 years ago they confirmed the inclusion of "women" in the term "citizen". Wow!

Just for more clues, Vatican is another place where women don't have a right to vote.

Hail Hail Hail......your distorted learnings of male-chauvinistic democracy.

I think all of you inclusing USA should learn from Germanay, Philipines, Bangladesh, Pakistan where the so democracy system truly exists and women become heads of state.

Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International? Let's refer to somebody not on the "official" payroll.

So Islam spread through Sword? Please explain how? the story from 1400 years ago.

What about the latest colonisation madness from UK that the Queen led? What about the outcasts who Occupied Red Indians land and almost killed them to extinction just to grab hold of it, to make what we call USA today. What about Aboriginals' land that the outlaws held?

Why are you so inclined to turn it into a religeous conflict? Is this according to the latest agenda from warmongers to name their evil plans a regigeous conflict?

So it was expected that when you are speechless, you would lie and quote figures without any credible references. Then You would shy away from commenting more. THe women factor is a vital part of "democracy" you and company have been preaching the whole world. Or were you teaching Hypocrisy?

TheThievingGypsy: To a large extent this is true. But the West is degenerating for a number of reasons; brutal, coarse consumerism, biological and cultural mongrelisation, decadence, poor work ethics, self-absorption etc.

You don't have to hold such draconian views towards Women to avoid the cultural disintegration permeating the West. There are other parts of the World that retain the family unit and respect the elderly which do not share our culture or yours. Take the Chinese, in many ways they're vastly superior to the Whites and the Arabs and their cultural teachings have no divine inspiration whatsoever, they're more stable than you, by far, and yet they don't require excessive doctrine. Learn from this.
