RE: Frightening Consequences of negative Indoctrination - Hatred, Killings, Terrorism, Wars

I'm not worried, but I'll doubt you'll address it with any efficacy. laugh

This should be a laugh.

RE: Do you have corrupt leaders in your country like the one we have president Zardari?

Ray, your nonsense as usual, lacks logic.

RE: Frightening Consequences of negative Indoctrination - Hatred, Killings, Terrorism, Wars

Just in case the OP missed this.

RE: Frightening Consequences of negative Indoctrination - Hatred, Killings, Terrorism, Wars

And no doubt, it will be just as specious as this one. laugh

RE: Formula1 VS people of Bahrain.... place your bets !!!

Let me put this to you. What would be gained by the race being withdrawn from Bahrain? How would that help anyone?
The F1 will bring a massive cash injection to the local economy and the eyes of the world will be on the country. The nation will be full of western journalists, which, by their very presence would help to calm the situation.

dunno

RE: The Next Superpower in the World

Settle down dear. Please don't generalise in future, if you wish to avoid further misunderstandings.

RE: Formula1 VS people of Bahrain.... place your bets !!!

Ah, but read the article more carefully.

RE: The Big Bang theory???????????

Well, Experimental Archaeology can only prove so much for the experiments usually lack funding and manpower. Have you any friends on the faculty of Archaeology at UQ? I studied Ancient History & the Classics & some Archaeology there, as well as other subjects. There are a lot of myths and wild theories about regarding this stuff when the answer is often simple.

What are you specifically looking for?

RE: The Big Bang theory???????????

I don't know and I wasn't there, so it wasn't me. grin

And I for one, don't really care. dunno

RE: Formula1 VS people of Bahrain.... place your bets !!!

FIA announcement on the F1 in Bahrain.

RE: Grand prix..in grand protest

Hey Honey! How are you? hug

RE: The Big Bang theory???????????

The pleasure is all mine. tip hat kiss

RE: Grand prix..in grand protest

Well, they could protest the Government and withdraw the F1 from the country, but what would that achieve? Three-fifths of zilch.

RE: The Big Bang theory???????????

Well, hello Cutie, you are far more interesting...

RE: The Big Bang theory???????????

The way I understood the model(I have no background in physics)was that the Big Bang occurred after the singularity reached critical mass. This was the result of a contraction process caused by gravity. Hawking posits that there wasn't one 'Big Bang', but a series of them. In his model the universe expands and the material at the edge (e.g. Quasars) is the oldest matter post Big Bang. The expansion of the material universe slows to a point where gravity counters the expansionary force and contraction begins. This contraction ultimately arrives at the starting point and another explosion occurs. Nowhere do I recall that matter didn't exist at all, just in a different form.

Please correct me if I misunderstand this, for it has been some years since I read up on the subject.

RE: The Big Bang theory???????????

OT, but this myth is simply not true and it keeps going around and around despite evidence to the contrary. It is not a good example.

RE: Frightening Consequences of negative Indoctrination - Hatred, Killings, Terrorism, Wars

Over the years, many of Ray's theories have been pulled to pieces and shot to bits, however, he still maintains the same old conspiracy BS. So, any effort on your part is purely a waste of your time.

RE: Frightening Consequences of negative Indoctrination - Hatred, Killings, Terrorism, Wars

They got at you then? rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Frightening Consequences of negative Indoctrination - Hatred, Killings, Terrorism, Wars

It is true, but it is allowed under freedom of speech legislation. If violence ensues, then it is dealt with under the law, according to the law.

That's because you do not enjoy the same level of freedom.

RE: Frightening Consequences of negative Indoctrination - Hatred, Killings, Terrorism, Wars

I've been trying to explain this to the OP, but he is obdurate regarding his interpretation.

RE: Frightening Consequences of negative Indoctrination - Hatred, Killings, Terrorism, Wars

If thread is at Z, it got there because of a chain progressing from A. If A is false (which it clearly is in this case) then Z is false.

Incorrect, an opinion can be formed independently based on experience and observation.

Of course, again that is a given, but the formation of an opinion isn't universally a product of operant conditioning (see above)

Irreleevant to my example (see above).

Not every example of persuasion is promulgating a doctrine. Are you clear on what a 'doctrine' is?

Yes, but selling a carton of milk is not pushing a doctrine, and yet the advertisement uses persuasive language.

Are you clear on the definition of 'doctrine'?
