Ron Paul can. I thought he would win in 2008 because of his rational take on what's going on. But people would need to change their mind about how certain things work, which in the long run probably would elevate the standard for everyone, both as a nation AND as individuals.
Ron Paul is a constitutionalist. Do you know anything about the American constitution, its history and the people involved making it?

He advocates the stopping of all aid which to me would be the beginning of Russian and Chinese influence upon the planet as superpowers with reach as Israel would have little interest in renting out Haifa to the US and instead, provide safe berth to one of them.
The only losers here would be both the US and the Arabs with the latter having no protection as Israel without a leash is something they have yet to experience.
Of course Ron Paul is not opposed to Iran seeking a nuclear weapon as he knows of no target they might use it against but, at the same time, all parties and presidents in the recent past have viewed this as a serious concern.
Ron Paul is for legalization of ALL drugs including crack, heroin, cocaine etc as to not have it infringes on personal liberties. His foreign policy ideas seem to be a result of his practice of indulging in 'personal liberties' as no sane person would view the killing of Bin Laden as wrong but, such is Ron.
Oh, illegal aliens watch out, this guy is not your bag for sure as he wants a lot of fences so, seems to cater to all extremists.
