ellimere: i am physically defective !! wow !! you should write books with that imagination of yours!! not everybody who has any type of condition will pass it on , and sometimes people who are "perfect" are genetic carriers of a whole host of conditions ... which is how i got mine !! i am the product of two heathly parents !
Most diseases can skip generations, something that our illustrious poster seems to have overlooked.
bestbefore: So for arguments sake if you married a woman ,who gave birth to your children, and then it was discovered she was schizophrenic, you would have them all put down
The only way you would know if she had a generic defect is by a D.N.A.test before you married her.

i seen that yeah !! the poor animals !! his profile says he is a radio presenter , they usually exspress outlandish views ... to stir up things to make their shows interesting .... maybe he cant shut off after work ?
Because I have a relative with this illness I can say No I wouldn not be in a relationship with a person who has this condition. But they do need a lot of support from family, it can be heartbreaking to see the suffering .
As for Carl, nobody is perfect, not even you. I am sure someone somewhere could come up with a reason why you should not have been born or be allowed to ” breed” as you call it

Yes Pedro I know thats true, there are so many different degrees of the illness and it affects people in different ways. Some people can live normal lives with medication and for others it takes years of trying different medication. Then there are the people who go through phases of refusing medication or compounding the problem with alcohal
It's a tough road but if a family member is diagnosed they need all the emotional support they can get.
But I wouldn't knowingly begin a relationship with someone with this illness
