If the right job comes up in the summer will he turn it down do you reckon? I think Inter is probably the most likely destination.

He seems a resolute type of guy. If he decides to take a year off I reckon he will stick to that. Hard to know really but he will be in serious demand.

Definitely not out of the question. He would be a brilliant addition to the Prem League if he decides to come.

sofarsogood74: It would be the dream appointment but I can't see it happening. Imagine Rooney playing just in front of Iniesta and Xavi.

If City dont win anything this year you might see him there. They are probably the only club that could afford Messi too.?

If u had all the money you'll ever need and a pick of where to go,
WOULD YOU,YOUR WIFE AND KIDS LIVE IN MANCHESTER??????? OR ANYWHERE
IN ENGLAND FOR THAT MATTER...

SUN SUN SUN AND QUALITY OF LIFE MATTER A LOT...ESPECIALLY TO PEOPLE
WHO ARE USED TO A BETTER CLIMATE.
YOU CAN BE SURE THAT HE AND MANY OTHERS BEFORE HIM HAVE CONSIDERED THIS TO BE A MAJOR FACTOR.

I would say Italy would be his next port of call. However I have a sneaking feeling he may take over Real Madrid in 2013 if Jose gets the boot or gets bored there.

Who knows. Maybe if the terms were right, he might agree to do a few months at Chelsea.

Sir Alex Ferguson Lost to Rivals Manchester City 1-6 at Old Trafford and stayed at Manchester United. Arsene Wenger lost 8-2 To Manchester United At old Trafford and stayed at Arsenal. Pep Guardiola Conceded a Torres Goal and quit barcelona. Pretty Self Explanatory really. You know your team is going through a Bad Spell of Form when Torres scores against you.

Strictly as a neutral , I won't take away from Ferguson's achievements as
a manager but .... it took him 7 years before his first league title with Utd,
No manager would get that much time in todays game , FA cup win in '90 saved him from the sack ,
Then during next few years of domestic success Utd were the richest
club in the world ? And this was long before Russian & Arabs were
buying clubs , only one threat came along back then and that was
when a lowly Lancashire club won the league thanks to their owners
millions !
But in fairness to Ferguson , you can have as many of the best
players that money can buy but you still have to (as a manager)
get them to get the job done every week !!
That's Fergies talent professor
And I'm not even a Man U fan dunno

Maybe it s time for Wenger to move sideways and let in new blood to open the door instead of just knocking on it blues

DUBLINGUY1973: Maybe but I doubt he could handle the pressure there. I mean he was manager of Barcelona for four years and now at 41, he needs a break because he is tired?? Alex Ferguson is 70, has managed Manchester United for almost 26 years and has never needed a break
I reckon he will take a year out too and lie on a beach somewhere. A carbon of copy of Fergie though? Seriously? Yes I'm biased as a United supporter but I don't think we will ever see another Alex Ferguson. Guardiola does have a great record considering he was only Barcelona manager for four years but he inherited the crux of that team. It practically picks itself. I know he has brought in some good players like Villa, Mascherano, Dani Alves and Pique and I'd be happy enough if he took over at United when Fergie retires (especially if he brings a few Barcelona players with him) but I still think Guardiola still has yet to prove he is great manager of a good team rather than a good manager of a great team.

Well coming from someone saying they'd like to see Solskjaar get the job...i know who i'd prefer if i supported The SCUM!! This wasn't a decision made after one defeat, there was talk about it all season, every manager needs a rest, Purple Nose being the exception..although he never started off his career at one of the biggest clubs in the world, that can take it's tole on any man!!

There's no denying the man is a genius, genius footballers like Xavi, Messi, Iniesta etc. cannot speak highly enough of the man, NO TEAM PICKS ITSELF!! Players do that in training!!

scold No sacrilidge you blasphemer laugh

I think the signing that Wenger needs to make is a replacement for Pat Rice. He is pretty sure he is retiring this summer and Bould, Adams, Lehmann and Bergkamp are being mentioned. I think Wenger does not need a Yes man beside him, and we need someone to do the job Dein used to by questioning him. If Rice retires this position will be crucial for Wenger.
