Glatlol: True but I do find it hard at times not to say anything, to say that you believe in a god of any description is as baffling to me as saying you believe that fish can talk, for want of a better example lol or that any fairytale character is real.

you dont have to understand ... its like people who believe anything .. its personal . the elderly in this country were kind of brainwashed into religion , as was the typical upbringing of the time .. .so that may go someway to explaining it amongst certain generations in ireland

thankfully i was too , my parents arent mad into religion , my nan is though , shes 89 and i wouldnt upset her ever by telling her its a pile of rubbish. i sit and listen to what she has to say purely out of the love i have for her !!

My mam is 75 and is actually religious herself, she just believes that people should make up there own minds, she laughs herself when she tells me she lite a candle for me and says she knows it means nothing to me but it does to her.

Ah ye, my father didnt believe and said he wasnt to be given a religious funeral when he died, but my mam would have none of it and since he went before her he had no choice and got the full works, so just in case I go before her I have it in my will that there is to be no religion involved in my funeral, cremate me and scatter me and go and get pissed lol.

if i were to go before my parents id let them have a funeral and the whole works , it would comfort them !! ill be dead, it wont bother me either way !!
