baldydudefermoy, Cork Ireland164 Threads 4,643 Postson the hi-jack thread a topic just came up regarding allergies nd what not, so just curious did anyone here ever go on a first date nd brought flowers, sweets, chocolates or whatever romantic gift that completely backfired due to the date being allergic or turned of by that gift for whatever reason nd turned the start of the date into a complete disaster nd how did ya get out of it? 
Nah. Nothing like that. The best insurance against that is don't bother been romantic and bring nothing. LOL

Romantic is when you buy her chips on the way back to her place,, a date is the meeting up thing after you manage to convince her you arent like all the rest of the blokes one here..
She/they, appeared to be allergic to me, the best way of helping them and getting out of it was to generally move away from them, far away from them, like the bus ride back home!

when I get a first date then I will let you know if it was a disaster......
went on a date, got on grand (i thought so anyway)
offered lift home, i said yes
following my directions, we took a wrong turn
3 hours later (it was getting near 1 am), i got home and she then had to go back to her place
not a happy camper, needless to say no 2nd date
since day, i pick places i now how to get to and from too & keep suggestion for shortcuts to self on 1st dates

My worst dating disaster happened in my twenties, I was going out with three girls and told them all I had to work saturday night , an excuse to go clubbing with my mates on the pull.. Went to a nightclub and the three girls just happened to be there and totally over reacted when they discovered I was seeing them all,,
One of them even had the cheek to throw my pint over me, taught me a valuable lesson in relationship management..

Having decided to try that old "walk on the beach" cliche with a guy who had come down from Kildare, found it swarming with a garda technical team as a body had washed up ...
