The Higgs boson doesn't prove or disprove god, it just confirms their theories are corrrect - so far.
Anyway it's obvious there's no god, we don't need a boson to tell us that.

You're right of course - it just seems obvious, just as a believer will think their god obviously exists

All they have found is something a bit smaller than what they perceived before, which tells you nothing of its origins and nothing of God.

I'm always sceptical about what science seems so sure of, especially when that is based upon "probability", according to the same method of probability used to predict the Higgs boson then the universe itself should not exist.

But i'm willing to accept this as what it is, the identification of a pre-atomic field that grants order to sub-atoms, yet this field still must itself obey its own mathematical laws and its own order - why/how these orders exists is the answer to whether god exists or not, or whether all things actually exists in a state of intelligience, a consciousness as such.

This discovery is the equivalent of moving the decimal point by one place, there can be no end to this method of scientific materialism and there will always be a mechanic beneath the mechanic, a field beyond the field, and a particle beyond the particle.

This discovery says nothing of how the universe exists and has nothing to do with God, even the scienetist at CERN detest the media's use of the term "God particle".
