G'day peeps. I haven't been on this forum for a long time, but some people may remember me from earlier times. I was at a get-together organised in about 2012 I think it was? Wow 7 years ago ! Many of the friends I made then are now face book friends..... I guess we kind of abandoned this forum for some reason.
Anyway, the reason for this long winded post is to announce that I found a partner (on another site) so I won't have any reason to be lurking here anymore. We've only know known each other about 2 months but I am certain that she is THE one.
So I just wanted to wish all members the best of luck finding what they are seeking and just to say don't give up.
MikeD12, I once started a thread like this, about someone else on the forum and it was pointed out to me that it was against the rules. I hadn't read the rules carefully enough, but when I thought about it, I realised it made sense to not do this kind of thing. Obviously it's meant as a joke and Pedro seems able to give as good as he gets, but it can easily get out of hand.
Do you think he did it to "look better"??? No! I suspect he did it because he felt crap pretending to be a man for all these years while feeling like a woman inside. In these enlightened times he can change his looks to look like a woman and 90% of people will respect that decision.
A native English speaker will notice certain words, phrases and usage that might seem a little out of place. It might be due to sloppy writing, as many locals have a habit of doing, or it might be due to not being as familiar with the language as a native speaker. But pinpointing exactly which language is spoken by the writer as their first language can be difficult. So you can't really tell if the accent is Spanish, but it might be possible to spot the difference between say a Germanic language and a Romance language. As for your accent? Don't know, maybe American?
My ex-wife could give you advice although she refuses to believe that I am one. Who knows? It's just another label. My advice is to watch "Big Bang Theory" as Sheldon is one, albeit an extreme example, perhaps.
Yeah I got that it was tongue in cheek. I prefer women my own age and didn't intend for this to happen. It started in real life not on a dating site. You can't conveniently set filters in RL.
By all means go for it Bery smoothie. Actually I am currently dating a woman who is 16 years younger than myself and I do notice these issues. We still intend to make it work, despite the differences, but to say it's all in the mind, or that other classic "age is just a number" is just foolish.
I don't think the statement is true at all. Sure, you can be "old" but be young at heart, you can keep yourself fit, etc, but the body is still old and starts to break down slowly but surely. Also, being born in different era's means you will have different interests, etc.
