Ok, the first quarter of the game has now been posted on you tube. Skip to 8:55 unless you like pre-game chatter!

Anyone watch the NAB cup grandfinal last night?

the NAB cup is aussie rules football. It's for those people who can't go without football during the cricket season. I think they play some night matches in s much shortened competition to culminate just b4 the start of the actual afl season. And obviously sponsored by the NAB bank. "Nab" your money.... great acronym for a bank.laugh

Yes, I know her, she is my ex-step-daughter. :)

Ok, here's another good one.
This thread isn't about football.

Anyone watch the NAB cup grandfinal last night?

Wondering who saw it on Seven or on Foxtel? And did you see the pre-match entertainment? Andeli Rose and Nathan Gunn. (Gunns and Roses anyone laugh )

Here's Andeli singing another number a capella. "Last Rose of summer", very nice, I think she'll go far. But then I'm biased.

RE: Buddy Blackwelder Memorial (Jeepers) SHOW TIME Photo COMp.

Wow! does that elephant actually walk, or is it static?

RE: Honesty

cswelcome
Welcome to the forums, Happyman. I think they would, for sure, I know I would be.
Mind you I think we would all be interested as well if we saw pigs flying!

RE: Zietgiest Trilogy

Zeitgeist, not Zietgiest.

RE: Living

Hi Jem, thanks for sharing this with us. A tough time you went through. I agree suicide isn't an easy way out as it must take a huge amount of courage to do.

Someone I love once tried to commit suicide; fortunately didn,t succeed, but the aftermath and pain is still with me.

RE: A Mother's Curse

I don't. I Googled it and nothing came up. And if it's not on the internet, it never happened.

RE: Today is my

That's the way it usually works!
Happy Birthday here's your pressie gift

RE: WHAT'S WITH RELIGON THREADS

Yep, guilty as charged. Sorry Curly, I guess i'm one the main instigators. To be honest I'm sick of it too and have been trying to think of somthing else. So far nada! Got any ideas? confused

RE: Does infinity exist?

In my opinion, Halvo's response is the best so far.
Infinity "exists" as a mathematical construct, to explain or rationalise certain problems. Like 1/0.
Most of your respondents are talking about infinite TIME. In mathematics the emphasis is on infinite numbers, ie a number increasing without bound.

RE: Two BlinD Men

Ahhhhh, now I get it. Obvious now.

RE: would anyone be interested

Wow, they are great Rob, yes worth a peep allright. And some of the cars are quite interesting too. rolling on the floor laughing

RE: THANK GOD

Halvo, I have to admit I'm one of those atheists who does like to have a bit of a go occasionally.
I wrote a long "rant" on one the Preacher's blogs this afternoon. (Serendipity615)
Christians have also been known to make plenty of noise about their faith and how great it is, especially in past centuries. They rationalise this by saying "Hey we're so happy and we really want YOU to have some of that too!" They also did it because the Bible told them to do it. In time they noticed they had not really achieved much with all their missionary work, so they scaled it back a bit.
Sometimes I feel like the big brother who tells little brother that Santa Claus isn't real, but little brother just won't listen. Maybe it's a bit cruel.

RE: Two BlinD Men

Ok, I've let this joke sink in for 5 hours and I still don't get it! I thought it mi9ght come to me but it didn't.
You'll have to explain it for me Prowler...... confused

RE: THANK GOD

A "rant" is long-winded and full of detail. Three words does not make a rant.

RE: Trevor walks into an Perth florist shop .....

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
That a good one, I'll try n remember it.

RE: MELBOURNE MEET March 23, 2013

Yep, it depends what you're into NL. This is a good site to look at as you can put in the date you want and it gives you a list as well as links, opening hours, etc. There's a few comedy shows but most seem to be Saturday night.

There are live bands, etc other nights as well; Fri or sunday...

RE: was jesus married?

Just as an aside, how did they shave in those days? I know they had iron for swords, maybe certain steels? Did they make razors? Scissors/
dunno

RE: was jesus a real person?

Lookin' I thought you were going away to save up some more giggle bytes?

RE: Pondering Life

Micky, I think you're being a bit oversensitive. I read it again and don't see it as an attack so much. Conduit was maybe just wondering how you could possibly have "no flippin idea". Me, I don't have any flippin' idea either, but others do and uh... well I forget the rest. dunno

RE: Who is the most famous / infamous person you have ever met?

I met (Australian Jazz singer) Kate Ce berano many years ago when I dabbled in sc. ient. ology for a few months. As you probably know, she is one, and at that time she was just a kid, well, maybe 16 or so. She was doing a sort of post-audit clearing or whatever they may have called it. So, yeah, she practiced some of her voodoo magic on me.

RE: was jesus a real person?

True, but hey so many things don't make any sense about religions, but the religious have a convenient explanation for anything you can come up with.
So let us eat, pizza drink drink pouring and be merry, yay

RE: What happened at Roswell?

The "missing links" were found years ago.

RE: What era would you live in?

'Ello look who's back. Long time no see. laugh

So where would this land be that you could grab? North America I suppose?

RE: Pondering Life

Yes, been thinking for a while Serene. There were one or two thoughts but they got away.
You do see that sometimes when people survive horrors it gives them a sense of purpose afterwards.
I've questioned why things happen and looked for meaning in human existence, but have not been able to find any.
Wish I could help you darl, as I can guess what you're going through.
