pedro27: heaven can't be explained ,just like a mystery can't be explained either
Actually I think it can be.
Heaven is commonly accepted to be a place better than where you are either in place, time or mental attitude. Some attribute it to be a divine state ordained by a God or force and others a dimension or place attained by their own work or attitude.

Golly Pedro, it's explained quite easily by FAITH Some believe and others do not. In your questioning it seems you are looking for a non earthly thing to suddenly be shown to you as material human in a form that can be seen, touched, smelt and tasted which of course a faith based thing cannot so you seek the impossible.
Personally I take Descartes view which is sort of a cop out but am also a kind person so it comes easy. As for definitions in the more real sense I think I did a pretty good job in my previous post.

In the idea of a destination in the spiritual sense I would agree as everybody wants something different but can we just assume that it is a good thing where those in it won't want to go someplace else?
stringman: this is a segment of a 20/20 program aired last night.
I have wrote a long comment when suddenly POOF!! It's gone.. Just awesome..
I'll try to make it shorter now. I remember when I was a kid I used to ask my father what is heaven like and he told me that heaven is a beautiful place where everything you would ever wanted were provided for you.. As I grew older, I don't find his answer satisfied me.. I think that wanting something is one form of desire..so,we are allowed to have desire in heaven? So I started to find my own answer, and I came to think that heaven is not really a place, but it is more a condition when our soul (after we die) finally find a complete perfect peace. When we reach perfect peace, I think we won't have any more desire, because we will already feel contented, we won't even think about anything anymore and therefore we wouldn't want anything.. That's only my opinion though :)

you are right about your soul leaving your body, it will go back to GOD. according to GOD heaven is a place with no pain ,deceases or suffering of any kind. complete happyness.earth is not heaven.but GOD will return to earth and save man from destroying it.and establish his kingdom on earth.this is my understanding.
