It would seem to say to give them your other cheek to hurt. I would rather turn my cheek to the other side and walk away. If they came back with an apology, I would accept it (well,,,maybe not always, but most of the time).

We have to let a lot "go". Choose our battles carefully. (I don't take this saying/scripture as literally as it might sound. If the attack is physical, then I believe we have the right to counter-attack. "To turn the other cheek" really means to let the little things go, in my opinion. Like rolling with the ducks. Or water off Punch's back.

Too often ,on here, we see just the opposite. People tend to have to have the last word. Threads going on and on about he said- she said. People being vindictive to the point that it is really unnecessary. Funny how people are, isn't it?

It could mean the dentist needs a better angle
Most of the time it means, someone made a negative comment to me, but it doesn't matter because I know what they said isn't true.
