When you were a kid, did you have a crush on someone but never let on and have you met them again, as an adult since and told them that you had, what was their reaction?

Hi Vel....When you say a "kid" what age are you referring to?

Anywhere between say, 8/15.
I had a crush on a lovely girl when I was 11 but I moved away, I've tried to find her but it's impossible if it's a 'girl' as they could have married and their name would be different.
I had a crush on a boy in middle school (7th grade) and the crush lasted all through high school and into my adult years. He never knew about it until 45 years later when I found him on a website where you can find old classmates. I pined for him all those years and when I found him I thought I was going to be happy for the rest of my life. It's a long story but I wish I never found him after those 45 years because he created havoc in my life that you wouldn't believe if I told you which I'm not going to.

That's a sad story Montemonte! When I was 11 I went to an all boys school, say no more so I never saw her again.

my crush at that time was Alan from the Bay City Rollers, they were a Scottish pop band, I don't believe I just admitted that here.
Godsgift: OMG. Wasn't he the blond one with the big teeth.
He was the oldest one in the band, he played guitar. I think you're thinking about his brother Derek he was the drummer. I still know all their names how sad is that.

Ah, you're right but you should be ashamed. I'm proud that I don't remember Alan, Merril, Wayne,Jay Donnie, Jimmy or Marie Osmond's names at all, or that they were Mormons or the Donnie's favorite colour was purple. Jaysus, no wonder all the guys at school thought I was gay. (A poof as it was called then). Then again, they were all into Gary Glitter and Leader of the Gang or Rock and Roll Part 2. Who's laughing now?

Do you know what I'm even more ashamed of, they were doing some kind of a reunion tour last year in Scotland and a friend of mine asked me to go, No I didn't but I did think about it for a second.

You should have gone. I'd go to an Osmonds concert tomorrow. You need to let the inner child out once in a while. Your only problem is that I think there are 2 lots of Bay City Rollers out there just now.

Well you're obviously more informed on the Bay City Rollers than I am. Were you a secret tartan wearing fan.

Oh God, NO! I was in 1st and 2nd year at school in Glasgow. I'd just hit puberty and the girls in my class fancied Les McKeowen and not me. I hated them with a passion. (There should be a green with envy emoction.)
