Singles Gym (54)
i joined the gym recently,the have a savage machine there you can get mars bars,yorkies and cheese and onion out of it
JustLittleMe: Is there a secret singles gym that I don't know about? One where all these single men hang out, cause 90% of profile state 'I like going to the gym' or could it possibly be that these men just like 'the idea' of going to a gym, or deem the fact they went to a gym 6 years ago means that they 'go' to the gym?
I do in fact go to the gym, and from my logic based on the percentage of profiles that say they go to the gym, the place should be packed to the rafters with single men, but alas........ my gym is sparse when it comes to singles.
And another thing.....when I get chatting to fellas, they all say oh just back fro the gym, or heading to the gym later..........and then the first thing I think to myself when if meet them is 'dude know way you go to the gym as much as you say you do'I also think that e-mail code for 'Sorry I have to go work out in the gym' really means 'I'm hungry, I just want to eat pizza and scratch my balls while watching reruns of How I Meet your Mother

I don't go to the gym myself, but I hear what you're saying. It should be a veritable breeding ground for singles

Good observation! I'm just back in from the gym.....
If it were the case then there'd be queues out the door because suposedly a lot of females attend the gym too if their profiles are to be believed and also, as you state have that old line 'Just out to the gym!/Just back from the gym',
Now, I dont know, who am I to say, but I'm always a bit dubious about statements like that, to some people a visit to the gym years back, or the thought of perhaps visiting one may be enough to list 'gym' as a pastime. Just like those who claim to be interested in art; because they once seen a painting (and it makes them sound clever and cultured

No I'm not missing the point. Those of us who have been on this site longer than 10 minutes remember JLM and know her threads tend to be very tongue in cheek.

Fair enough but that is based on ONE gym. Now the number of people that use this website is a small number of people anyway, based on people all over the country, so your experience of one gym doesn't really prove anyone insincere.
There is of course a lot of truth in what you are saying and I am also well aware this is a light hearted thread, just saying you can't assume that individual people you don't know are being untruthful based on your own personal experience.
I'm genuinely not trying to have a go at you. Just playing devil's advocate.
