We enjoyed our recent holiday in Dubai. The most economical mean to get around is through its Metro Train that has a business class section. While we were pleasuring ourselves with tall buildings, a train crew came to us that he would fine me with AED100 for chewing a gum inside the train. He pointed to us the sign of "NO food eating allowed inside". Anyways, he spared me coz i informed him we are just tourists and we are not aware of the policy. Just wondering, is chewing-gum a food?

I don't think it's necessarily a food. They said that probably because they don't want people to stick their gum under the seats or worse drop it on the floor. Good way to keep the train clean but I always take coffee on the train so I wouldn't be able to get on that train.
