No, there's lots of controversy about the inaccuracy of BMI.
The last time I was in the mid-range of a BMI healthy weight, my mother told me I looked like I'd just walked out of Belsen. I was devoid of body fat. Not a good look for a woman.

The last time I was in the mid-range of a BMI healthy weight, my mother told me I looked like I'd just walked out of Belsen. I was devoid of body fat. Not a good look for a woman.[/quote}
well it gives a target maths wise, in around it tells me i should be 12 and a half to 13 and a half, and that is my normal weight, because that was my weight 5 year ago, im 6 foot 1.

The BMI is a rubbish guide and should not be followed. According to the BMI, I have a rating of 35 and obese. This guide does not take into account people who have more lean mass than others. Do not rely on BMI. Take girth measurements and skin folds to go by and follow those results.
