Its great to see the truth come out at last. The Maggie Thatcher led government and their friends in the right wing media should be ashamed of themselves. Football supporters getting the blame for mistakes made by police.

If it had been a Rugby game I bet there would have been a different focus of blame afterwards.

All football fans then were percieved as thugs and hooligans and they used that to shift the blame for their mistakes. Tahnkfully it has changed in the UK now but it is still the opinion of many here. The fact the bars are not allowed open for football games in the Aviva(except in the hospitality areas) but they are all open for Rugby games tells you all you need to know. That's because a lot more thugs attend soccer then rugby
Great to see the families finally get justice and hopefully some of the peopleu responsible will now stand trial

Do they? I have never seen trouble at an Ireland football game. Our fans are known worldwide to be great and non troublesome. I have seen punch up before Rugby games and during Rugby games though.

facetowardsfront: I don't understand people who believe all these Conspiracy Theories. If the papers and police and doctors and coroners and all those other thousands of reputable establishment figures said the Liverpool fans caused the deaths, that they were drunk, that they robbed the dead, that they pissed on the dead and all that well then it's true. It's some whacked out Conspiracy Theory to say that the inquest was fixed to deliver a false verdict. Phew!

Next you fools will be saying Bloody Sunday was not exactly as Widgery described it!!!

Could you imagine your views on it if all involved in the lies and cover ups were women?? jaw drop laugh

Alright Danny. Mistakes can happen. For your penance, We want you to record a video in your best voice, and recite "You'll never Walk Alone". At the end of the recital I want you to burn a Man United Jersey. grin grin
