When I read about this Extreme-Free-fall for the first time a question came to my mind:
Why to do it?
When I did started this thread it was my intention to ask people if they would do something where -they place their life at risk- and why they would do it.
Are there more men than women doing such risky sports?

or maybe just trying to prove to themselves that they are not a Coward! Maybe so much Fear of Existence that only a constant Rush of Adrenalin can alleviate?
This is even got NASA's attention. That being sad, if it were not for those willing to take risks and sometimes make the ultimate sacrafice we wouldnt have a lot of what we have today, especially FREEDOM! GO FELIX!!! You are a true Statesman. God Bless you.

Nah. This task is less dangerous than a lot of them that are done everyday on bikes, free climbing and all however, takes a lot of team work to accomplish it given the equipment required to take him to space capsule reentry heights. Just having Kittenger (whom I've met back in the mid eighties) on his team says a lot about the actual scientific aspect of it and downplays the actual adrenalin aspect as he is completing what part of Joe set out to do in the sixties.

And on the ground safe. Highest balloon flight, highest jump but didn't break the longest freefall record as Kittenger still holds that. Waiting to see if he broke the speed of sound.
