Ive haunted CS now for about a year and whats interesting and intriguing is that as thread are posted, their responses are minimal but the numbers of lookers are enormous
where the hell are all those lookers wouldn't be interesting to actually see who the hell all those people were that are lingering in the background, Hell some of them might even be lovable, although you would never know it due to their physical absence
How about all you lookie loos pull up some courage and join in, you might even get loved for it

A fair proportion of those views will be people who have posted and are keeping track of the thread, maybe waiting for a response, or a question answered.
People may check someone's profile before responding to a post which would double their viewing count for one post.
People may quote and reply to more than one person within one post, so will be flicking backwards and forwards raising the viewing count.
Of those lurkers who like to read, but not post, repeated viewings will add up as they track the thread.
I agree, it would be nice if more people contributed, but maybe those who view, but don't post are not as many as might first appear.

Also to get a very high views count it is mandatory to include the word bum in the title of the thread.

minnie50: even if the forum is a very good tool to know temperaments, ways of seeing life and thoughts. hard for me to post, I'm sweating
Practice, minnie.
It'll get easier and its good for your confidence.
Learning not to take things personally is a part of that - if someone disagrees with you in debate, but they put forward a logical argument, its a learning experience and part of the joy of debate. If someone is hostile, or nasty to you, then they've either got some things to work through themselves, or they're not very good at discussing things.

Is that Gordon's blog you're refering to? I've viewed it a couple of times and I still can't come up with any worthy bottom wit, or lavatorial humour for it.

I feel I have failed.
It was but don't worry I don't think it's going to win the Booker prize, but it does illustrate the mentality of us on the blogs in that it drew a huge crowd for a first blog
Some people have told me they read the forums for amusement, but would NEVER post! I don't understand, but that is their wish so I let them be after a time or two trying to get them to voice their opinions...what can ya do?
I don't read every post nor every thread, so it's not me y'all are counting. I like to read fun things and interesting to me, not religion or politics. Can't post a YouTube or picture so this all narrows my field for me.
